Both the New York Liberty and Catbird share the hometown of Brooklyn, New York.

The WNBA team made sure to represent its home borough of Brooklyn through its championship ring, which celebrated the team’s first championship win in its 28-year history.

“Known for her strength, style, and rising influence on and off the court, Sabally brings a powerful and authentic vision of wearing jewelry the way you move—perfectly complementing Catbird’s timeless heirloom designs,” said Catbird.

New York Liberty forward Nyara Sabally recently celebrated the team’s first championship win in its 28-year history.

The partnership represents Catbird’s commitment to championing “inspiring women who are shaping culture and breaking boundaries,” it said.

Sabally said that strength is about being confident in expressing yourself in whatever you do.

“For me, it’s basketball: being strong on the court, but also off the court. Being helpful to other people, uplifting other people,” she said.

Select pieces worn by Sabally in the campaign have been curated for the “Nyara Sabally for Catbird” edit on its website, including gold chains and pearl jewelry.
