New York – The television world was shocked when Phil McGraw, widely known as Dr. Phil, suddenly passed away backstage at the studio of his new talk show in New York at 3:38 p.m. today.

A source from Mount Sinai Hospital confirmed that he died of an acute myocardial infarction, which could not be saved even though the emergency team arrived after only 6 minutes. He passed away at the age of 75, leaving an emptiness that could not be filled in the hearts of millions of fans.

The third recording of the new talk show “Mind Line”, broadcast on the online platform, took place in a professional atmosphere as usual. Phil appeared on time, smiled, shook hands with staff, and chatted with guest experts.

According to stage assistant Laura Reyes, Phil was still joking about the weather being “as hot as Texas in the middle of New York” before entering the dressing room.

“He was healthy, alert. No one expected that just 30 minutes later, everything would collapse…”

At 15:28, a makeup artist found Phil sitting motionless on a leather chair, his left hand clutching his chest, sweating profusely. She immediately shouted for help.

Five staff members rushed in, one of them immediately called 911, while a nurse in the crew tried to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

“His eyes were still open, but he seemed to be fading away. He was mouthing ‘Robin’ – his wife’s name,” a witness shared in tears.

After only 6 minutes, an ambulance arrived at the scene. Paramedics performed an electric shock, attached an oxygen mask, and measured his vital signs. However, the monitor showed an irregular heartbeat, with almost no response.

“His body was no longer responding to any intervention. The death was too quick, too decisive. There was nothing else the emergency room could do,” – the emergency room doctor at Mount Sinai confirmed.

At Mount Sinai Hospital, Phil was taken to the ICU in a state of no pulse, dilated pupils, and a heart rate of 0.

The team of 4 doctors and 2 nurses continued to resuscitate him for 12 minutes, using 2 final shocks, before officially declaring him dead at 3:50 p.m.

Less than 20 minutes after the news leaked on Twitter, paparazzi and reporters crowded the hospital gate.

A group of middle-aged fans, many of whom had appeared on his show, brought flowers, portraits and candles to the hospital gate.

Police had to block the entrance, set up barricades, and block all 3 streets around Mount Sinai due to the large crowd. More than 800 people showed up within 1 hour.

Robin McGraw, his wife of more than 47 years, had just left a business meeting in Boston when she received a call from her doctor.

She arrived at the hospital at 4:27 p.m., only to hear the doctor say his final words: “We’re sorry. We did everything we could.”

“She collapsed to the floor. She didn’t scream, she just cried, silently, in so much pain that she couldn’t breathe.”

Less than an hour after the news was confirmed, major news sites such as CNN, BBC, TMZ, Fox News, The Guardian, Rolling Stone… simultaneously posted news with the title:

“Dr. Phil – Voice of American Trauma – Dead at 75.”

Celebrities quickly responded:

Oprah Winfrey: “He is the person who changed the way America talks about trauma.”

Barack Obama: “A pop culture hero has passed.”

Ellen DeGeneres: “I am shocked to the point of paralysis. Phil is a wall of American television.”

#GoodbyeDrPhil, #RestInTherapy, #ThankYouPhil became the top 3 trending globally within 17 minutes.

Millions of memorial posts, images of old talk show episodes were shared, and his famous quotes spread across social networks.

One person wrote:

“He was not a psychiatrist. He was a doctor for a lost generation.”

A funeral is being planned in his hometown of Dallas, Texas, with many stars, politicians, and scholars present.

Phil McGraw’s portrait was placed in the CBS auditorium with two black ribbons, a white wreath, and a recording of his voice playing continuously.

Robin McGraw announced that he would establish a fund called the Phil McGraw Foundation, focusing on supporting mental health in schools and soldiers after the war.

“He is not gone. He left a legacy of healing that the world needs to continue,” – Robin in his first speech.

The world has lost a man who not only spoke the truth, but also made others listen to him.
