Riley Green has had a banner year so far, and he’s closing it out on a high note as he has just secured a highly coveted title. The people have spoken, and the country music superstar has been named “Sexiest Country Star” by People.

According to the outlet, 350,000 readers voted this year using the Reader’s Choice Poll for 14 different categories, some of which included “Sexiest 40 Year-Old,” “Sexiest Tattoos,” and “Sexiest New Heartthrob.” But it was the “Worst Way” singer who nabbed the “Sexiest Country Star” placement, edging out his competition, which included Cody Johnson, Shaboozey, and Warren Zeiders.
The ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ Title Will be Revealed on Nov. 3

This is the first time Green has been in the running for the sought-after category, which serves to build anticipation for the annual “Sexiest Man Alive” announcement, set to be revealed on Nov. 3, 2025.
The long-running tradition of highlighting some of the hottest males in Hollywood is now in its 40th year, which means folks have kept up with the surprise unveiling every time it comes back around.
Blake Shelton Won ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ in 2017

Now that the spotlight is on him, Green’s win could put him in the running for the “Sexiest Man Alive” crown in the future. So far, only one country star has ever claimed the title—Blake Shelton in 2017.
It’s not all too surprising that Green reigned victorious in earning the “Sexiest Country Star” label, as he has been quite popular with the ladies when it comes to having both charm and good looks. Earlier this year, the 37-year-old Alabama native was reminded that folks pay attention to his appearance when he experienced a viral moment after shaving off his signature mustache.
“Every year in the summer, I shave. I like to get a little sun on my face. I didn’t realise that this year I was the mustache guy, you know? It was a big deal,” Green previously said of the shave during an interview on the Big D and Bubba radio show.
“The constant reminder is the respect I get on a daily basis. You know, when you have a mustache like this…,” he jokingly added. “When you pull up to a four-way stop with four stop signs, and you and another car get there at the same time, you always go first if you have a mustache. I’ve seen guys put it in park, get out of their car, take the keys out, like, ‘Hey, I’m not going.’”
2025 found Green achieving a number of milestones. Over the summer, he earned his fifth No. 1 hit with “Worst Way,” and his duet with Ella Langley, “Don’t Mind If I Do,” was certified Platinum by the RIAA. He also earned a handful of awards, including ACM Single of the Year for “You Look Like You Love Me” with Langley.
On Nov. 1, Green will release a new song called “Smoke” with Jamey Johnson.
