Jimmy Kimmel will make a guest appearance on ABC’s The View this Thursday, Nov. 13, to mark his shared birthday with moderator Whoopi Goldberg. The two longtime ABC personalities were born exactly 12 years apart—Goldberg turns 70 this year, while Kimmel celebrates his 58th.
The crossover moment links two pillars of ABC’s schedule from opposite coasts. Kimmel, based in Los Angeles, will join The View panel in New York remotely ahead of that night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Between them, Goldberg and Kimmel have logged nearly 40 years on ABC. Goldberg joined The View in 2007 and is now the show’s longest-serving moderator. Kimmel launched Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2003, making him the longest-tenured host currently in late night.
Kimmel has been a guest on The View six times, most recently in 2020.

Later in the day, Kimmel’s late-night show will feature Jason Bateman and Mr. T as guests, part of what’s shaping up to be quite the ’80s-themed week on JKL. Bateman is a frequent visitor to Jimmy Kimmel Live, with more than two dozen appearances. Mr. T, meanwhile, is a sentimental favorite—the A-Team star co-hosted Jimmy Kimmel Live for a week of episodes shortly after the show’s debut and Kimmel’s has described him as one of his most beloved pop culture personalities.
