Taylor Swift’s traditions never go out of style!
In a new Instagram photo dump recapping her 30th birthday celebrations, Brittany Mahomes shared a photo of the Grammy winner, 35, joining in on the party — and placing her martini on the mother of three’s head!
“The GROUP✨,” Mahomes captioned the Thursday, Sept. 4 post. “So incredibly honored to have the most joyful friends. They truly made the weekend the BEST time!”
The former soccer player had her milestone birthday on Aug. 31.
Her gal pals celebrated with her in Nashville with Mahomes saying she felt “absolutely stunning,” and that “Honky Tonkin is a vibe in the day time.”
She thanked Divi Scalp and Hair because they “absolutely spoiled” her and her friend group.
“Divi is a brand that fits seamlessly into my everyday life. From game day curls to messy mom buns and everything in between, it keeps my hair feeling strong and healthy without me having to think twice,” the company told PEOPLE exclusively.
Mahomes recently partnered with the brand.
“My friends also spoiled me,” she continued. “I need to take a break from lychee martinis, so please share the next best thing please… I ate way too much amazing food. I love Nashville.”
Swift smiled in the photo of the ladies as she placed the glass on Mahomes’ head, something she does surprisingly often.
The newly engaged pop star has a longstanding history of placing fun items on top of people’s heads.
A Reddit post from earlier this year shared a photo of what they believe to be a circa late 2000s picture of Swift posing with an unidentified woman. In the photo, the “Look What You Made Me Do” is seen placing a blue coffee mug on the woman’s head.
In February 2024, Glamour picked up on Swift’s tradition after she held her Grammy Award over Boygenius members Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker’s heads.

“This is a real thing that she did, multiple times, without explanation or preamble, during and after the awards show,” the outlet said.

Whatever the reason behind the tradition may be, Swift and Mahomes were all smiles in the Dirty 30 photo as the WAGS prepare to head into football season together and cheer on the Kansas City Chiefs.
