Even at 37 years old and entering his 17th NBA season, Stephen Curry is still striking fear across the league. In ESPN’s annual offseason survey, Curry received the most votes (11) for Best American Player, beating out Anthony Edwards (8) and Donovan Mitchell (1).
“He’s still the guy who scares me most,” one Eastern Conference scout told ESPN.
The respect for Curry shows just how much he continues to define the game. Prior to the start of last season, he had an incredible Olympic campaign where he led Team USA to a gold medal. He followed that up by averaging 24.5 points per game last season while also leading the NBA in three-pointers made per game (4.4) and free-throw percentage (93.3%). He also earned Second-Team All-NBA honors — the 11th All-NBA selection of his career.
Although Jayson Tatum might have claimed the title of Best American Player if not for his achilles injury suffered during the playoffs, the survey results still serve as a reminder of Curry’s remarkable staying power across the league.

But now he’s doing every little thing he can to commit to the Warriors in his first full season with the organization, which apparently includes padel, as he further explained how the sport could help improve his hoop skills.
“Hand-eye coordination, reflexes, being able to pivot when a ball comes off the wall,” Butler said. “All the movement. All the conditioning you do. Seeing these guys work up a sweat, it’s super incredible. I don’t know if I have it in me to do it for that many straight sets, I won’t lie to you. But it looks exhausting and it can definitely help on a basketball floor, I promise you.”
The center has put that healthy ligament to work this summer, focusing extensively on improving his strength and agility, something that he hopes will give him a boost on defense.
“A big part for next year is guarding without fouling,” Post said. “I fouled too much, especially in situations where it wasn’t necessary, where I could just use my size to wall up and make guys take hard shots.”
NBA News:
In the pre-draft process, Cooper advised Bailey not to work out for any of the teams that owned a top-five pick. The wide belief is that Cooper wanted Bailey to land with the Wizards, who owned the No. 6 pick. The Jazz interviewed Bailey at the pre-draft combine in Chicago. But they were not able to get him into Utah for a pre-draft workout.

Davis performed the cha-cha on the first night accompanied “U Can’t Touch This” by Oakland legend MC Hammer, dressed in Hammer’s signature parachute pants. The judges gave him and his partner 10/20, putting Davis ahead of only Andy Richter and Corey Feldman, but tied with gymnast Jordan Chiles, Scott Hoying from Pentatonix and Zac Efron’s little brother Dylan.
