New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson scored his first NFL touchdown on Sunday afternoon and helped his team take a commanding lead over the Carolina Panthers.
Henderson powered his way through multiple Panthers defenders five yards into the end zone for the score. The versatile rookie running back continues to get more opportunities on offense, and he is making every opportunity count. The touchdown itself ended a drive that took eight plays, 55 yards and 4:07 off the clock.

Henderson has shown that there’s more to his game than finesse. Sure, he can cross up defenders and speed past them in open space. But he can also power his way for the tough yards when called upon.
The running back room and rotation have been a hot topic of discussion over the last week.
Rhamondre Stevenson returned as the starter this week, but Henderson has proven that he’s ready to take the reins when needed. The Patriots can only hope that plays like this one are a foreshadowing of things to come for the talented young running back.
