Maggie Baugh has broken her silence as rumors swirl across the internet about her relationship with Keith Urban amid his split from Nicole Kidman.
But the 25 year old didn’t tackle the rumors, instead she teased a big announcement on Instagram which turned out to be a new album, “The Devil Win,”
The rising country music star, who has been on tour with Urban, was not on hand for his first show, which took place in Hershey last week, after the news of the split broke.
Baugh found herself the subject of rumors because of a clip she shared from a September show with Urban in which he changed the lyrics to the song, “The Fighter,” which he wrote for Kidman.
When he got to a lyric that previously referenced the actress, he switched things up in a big way.
The song’s original lyrics read, “When they’re tryna get to you, baby I’ll be the fighter,” but Urban instead sang, “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie I’ll be your guitar player.”
She shared the clip on her Instagram on Sept. 27 and wrote, “Did he just say that.”
There is no evidence that the two are romantically involved.
Whiskey Riff reported that fans jumped in with comments that showed that were not happy by the switch-up.
“Wow, that song was made for Nicole,” one person wrote per the outlet. “For him to do that tells us what he’s really all about. That’s just disgusting.”
“It’s so trash to do this to a song inspired by his wife,” another wrote. “It’s the ultimate ick.”
And there were plenty more comments like that.
Kidman, 58, filed for divorce from Urban, 57, citing “marital difficulties and irreconcilable differences.”
The two had been together for 19 years and share two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
