Reba McEntire made a decisive move on the latest episode of The Voice, sealing her pick in the Knockout round and using her one and only mic drop of the season.

During the Nov. 17 episode, the country music legend had to choose between Cori Kennedy and Aaron Nichols after the two delivered standout performances.

Kennedy took on Hurricane, while Nichols performed You and I, giving McEntire plenty to consider.

After both artists wrapped their songs, McEntire offered heartfelt feedback.

She told Kennedy, “Corey, you are a powerhouse. When you hit the stage, everybody knows you mean business.”

Turning to Nichols, she acknowledged his experience, sharing that “all of your years in Nashville performing have paid off because you are a seasoned veteran up on that stage.”

She praised both singers, adding, “You both are so good. I’m so proud of you.”

When it was time to make the final call, McEntire chose Nichols.

She later explained her reasoning, saying, “I chose Aaron to move forward because he knows his lane, he’s very powerful in his lane and he stays in it.”

But she didn’t stop there.

McEntire also hit her mic drop button for Nichols, nominating him for a chance to perform at the upcoming Rose Parade. Each coach gets only one nomination, and the final winner will be chosen by America’s vote.

McEntire expressed her confidence in her pick, saying, “I think Aaron has a great shot to be on the stage at the Rose Parade and give a wonderful performance.”

This makes McEntire the latest coach to lock in her selection.

Niall Horan used his mic drop last week for Nashville group DEK of Hearts, noting their strong consistency and growth. Earlier in the season, Michael Bublé chose Max Chambers. That leaves Snoop Dogg as the only coach yet to make his decision.
