Reba McEntire and Rex Linn may be in a long-term relationship, but they’re taking their time as they embark on a new romantic chapter.

The couple and Happy’s Place co-stars have been dating since 2020, sharing their love for one another all over social media and shocking the world by announcing their engagement in September 2025. Reba has said that Rex actually popped the question in December 2024, and she recently addressed those wondering when the two would walk down the aisle.

As Reba told People when attending the Paley Center for Media’s Paley Honors Gala on November 10, she and Rex are choosing to savor their engagement rather than setting a wedding date—and they’re both too busy acting on Happy’s Place to plan anything!

“We’re totally enjoying being engaged,” she explained to the outlet about the couple’s wedding timeline. “Have no idea when we’re going to set a date. Work comes first, so we’ll see.”

We totally understand Reba’s thoughts about this! And Rex agrees, too: He explained to E! News on November 3 that their personal life makes working together even better.

“We love being around one another,” he said at the time. “We like going to work, we like coming home from work. We can’t wait to go back the next day. Our relationship in real life has enhanced our scenes where we’re together because we’re a lot more comfortable. It makes it a lot better for us.”

Now, folks may know how Reba and Rex both star as Bobbie and Emmett on Happy’s Place. And with season 2 airing new episodes every Friday night on NBC, viewers are seeing their characters start their own romances, too!

Regardless of when Reba and Rex do actually walk down the aisle, she told the publication she’s excited to do something different for their wedding.

“It’ll be a lot of fun,” she added. “It’s gonna be a nontraditional wedding because that’s Rex and me. We like comfort, we love friends, we love food.”
