Prince Harry has revealed that he’s putting his cancer-stricken father, King Charles, first.
The Duke of Sussex opened up about his recent — and very brief — reunion with the monarch, 76, telling The Guardian that his new goal for the “coming year” is to shift his focus on his dad.
“The focus really has to be on my dad,” said Harry, who is today celebrating his 41st birthday.
When asked if he would like to “spend more time in the UK” and “bring his children one day,” the “Spare” author responded, “Yes, I would. This week has definitely brought that closer.”
During his fleeting four-day visit to England last week, Harry attended a series of charity events in London before reuniting with his estranged father for peace talks.
The former working royal was seen arriving by car at the king’s London residence, Clarence House, at around 5:20 p.m. local time Wednesday.
The father-son duo spoke face-to-face over “private tea,” with their meeting reportedly lasting 55 minutes. It marked their first in-person meeting in 20 months.
Moments after the their private meetup, Harry offered up some rare insight into how his cancer-stricken father is doing.
“He’s great, thank you,” the duke told a royal watcher who had asked about the king.
Elsewhere in his interview with the Guardian, Harry shockingly insisted that his bombshell 2023 memoir “Spare” was “not about revenge” or “dirty laundry” — and sensationally asserted that his “conscience is clear” despite the book’s many revelations.

“It was a series of corrections to stories already out there. One point of view had been put out and it needed to be corrected,” he told the outlet.
“It was a difficult message, but I did it in the best way possible. My conscience is clear. It is not about revenge, it is about accountability.”
The Invictus Games founder’s comments come months after he vented to the BBC about his fractured family dynamics, and how the king refused to speak to him.
The father of two told the outlet in May that he “would love reconciliation with my family,” adding, “I don’t know how much longer my father has.”
