The 21-day window has opened for Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson, who is still working his way back to game-shape form after suffering a devastating knee injury in the team’s final regular-season game in 2024 against the Chicago Bears.
Now, the Packers have up to three weeks to decide whether to activate him to the 53-man roster or not. As it stands, it appears that they will get him to the main roster.
Watson has also started showing out in practice. On Monday, he was seen doing work on the field, just over 270 days since he went down with a torn ACL in his right knee.
“I want to get back and have felt 100 percent and continue to feel 100 percent,” Watson said, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN. “That’s my main thing. I’m not setting too much of a target date, this week or anything. It’s really just as soon as I feel like I’m 100 percent and ready to go is when I’ll play.”

Fans react to Christian Watson practice video

A three-second clip of Watson running, cutting and catching the ball in one sequence has captured the attention of some fans online.
It is an encouraging sight for many Green Bay supporters, who have watched their team go 2-1-1 over the first four weeks of the 2025 NFL regular season.

Via a different commenter: “ hate to say it, but he still has the most potential and realistically still our best WR, I love doubs he is my favorite but Watson ability to just burn everyone and has gotten better in contested catch is just something else.”
