The View’s Whoopi Goldberg had a stark three-word warning to Pete Hegseth on Veterans Day.
The 69-year-old started off the November 11 episode of the ABC talk show by thanking all veterans on Veterans Day, before she slid a jab at the 45-year-old United States Secretary of War.

Goldberg told viewers, “It’s also Veterans Day today, and we want to start by thanking every veteran in this country who has served in our Armed Forces.” Her co-hosts, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin, all applauded.

After the panel discussed the veterans in their lives, Goldberg continued, “But our commitment is unwavering to our vets. We know that you are all…” before she bowed her head and held her fists tight.
“We don’t always treat you as well as we should. We don’t always take care of you the way that we should. However, we are committed to doing a better job – we’re working to improve. You hear me, Pete Hegseth? You hear me?”

Navarro added, “And by the way, that includes the women, that includes the LGBTQ, that includes all African Americans, the Latinos, who have served.”
Goldberg continued, “Because if you don’t know the history of our Armed Forces, you don’t know what it – what it did to people who fought for this country who couldn’t vote in this country.
“You know, women fought. Black people, Asian people, Spanish people, people of all walks of life – fought for this country when they weren’t sure that the country was going to fight for them.”
She concluded her passionate speech, “So, you know how committed Americans are. So thank you all. Thank you all vets.”
Earlier, Haines shared a picture of her parents, both veterans, posing at an annual veterans’ dinner.
She explained, “They go to a veterans’ dinner every year. Every year they look so beautiful to me, but especially Happy Veterans Day to my parents.”

Goldberg mentioned that her son-in-law, father, and grandfather all served in the Armed Forces.
Navarro added, “If Joy was here, she’d be saying her father,” before Hostin said her grandfather was also a veteran.

“We’re kind of a military crew here,” she said, but Navarro pointed out, “I’m not from this country.”
Hostin laughed and added, “That’s true,” before her co-host reiterated, “I’m an immigrant.”
After their Veterans Day discussion, the co-hosts began talking about President Donald Trump‘s recent interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham.
The 79-year-old Commander-in-Chief appeared on Fox’s The Ingraham Angle on Monday, November 10, but was not given an easy time.
Ingraham asked Trump some hard questions, including, “Why are people saying they are anxious about the economy? Why are they saying that?”
The president said, “I don’t know that they are saying [that]. I think polls are fake. We have the greatest economy we ever had.”
Ingraham also mentioned the Republican Party being hit by Democrats in the New Jersey and Virginia elections last week.

She asked Trump if he thought voters had the wrong “perception” of his repeated claims of strong economic growth or if the GOP needed to do better in convincing them.
Trump replied, “More than anything else, it’s a con job by the Democrats. Costs are way down.”
In response to the interview, Goldberg said, “I’m not a big fan of polls either, but at some point you have to recognize the people are telling you it’s bad. Prices are not going down. They’re going up.”
She concluded that blaming the Democrats is “getting old.”
