Country music star Chris Stapleton is taking a break on the advice from his doctors.
The country music star announced on Thursday that he is postponing a pair of live shows on Oct. 10 and Oct. 11 in Florida as he battles bronchitis.
“To all my friends in Hollywood, Florida, I am very sorry to let you all know I am battling bronchitis and am unable to perform this weekend’s shows as my doctors have put me on vocal rest,” he said in a statement shared to his Instagram account. “I want to sincerely thank anyone who made plans to attend these shows. We appreciate your patience and understanding and look forward to seeing you next year.”
Stapleton said that the show will be reschedule for January 10 and 11 and that all tickets form this weekend’s concerts will be honored.

The Boot reported that Stapleton kicked off his All-American Road Show Tour in June, and was slated to wrap it up with the Florida dates.
