On Instagram, YouTuber and friend of the country star Mike Majlak shared a story of a street performer he encountered during his visit to Vegas. According to Majlak, the performer was singing Jelly Roll’s “Save Me” in hopes of making some money.

“this weekend while i was walking thru vegas, i noticed a man who was clearly down on his luck playing a jelly roll song hoping to make some money to continue getting by,” the influencer wrote. “i facetimed jelly and luckily he answered. he joined in singing “save me” with the man. after we stopped filming, the man and i shared a hug and we could hear him yelling “woooooo” as we walked away.”

“i got pretty emotional after and i was so happy that jelly made that man’s day and maybe even kept him going a little longer,” he added.

In the video, the unnamed street performer belts the lyrics into his microphone while Jelly Roll joins via FaceTime. After finishing their duet, the performer tells the country star he attended his Las Vegas show 3 years ago, and that his music inspires him and that it was an “honor” to meet him virtually.

Jelly Roll reflected on the heartwarming moment in the comment section, writing, “for real for real – thank you so much for calling me❤️.”
