Not counting Santa Claus, Mariah Carey has become the celebrity most associated with the holiday season in recent years. But fellow singer Michael Bublé, thanks to his Christmas album and countless holiday covers, is not far behind. So when the Canadian crooner shares his thoughts on festive food, we should probably listen.

Festive foods under the Bublé microscope
With Thanksgiving fast approaching, Bublé took part in a food-themed game of “overrated or underrated” for Allrecipes’ social media channels. His answers may give you an easy out when planning your lunch or dinner on November 27.
The 50-year-old was asked to rate a series of foods commonly eaten around Thanksgiving. Green bean casserole? Definitely not a fan (“overrated garbage”). Brussel sprouts? “Underrated,” although his praise didn’t extend beyond “surprisingly OK.” Understandable.
Your new favorite Thanksgiving side dish
Bublé is, however, a huge fan of mashed potatoes (“eat it, sleep in it”), pumpkin pie (“my favorite all-time pie”), and eggnog (“my favorite thing, I wish they had it all year”).
But perhaps his most surprising revelation was his love for Stove Top stuffing, the instant stuffing mix made by Kraft Heinz that you can (probably) find at your local grocery store. Boil some water and butter, stir in the mix, cover, remove from heat, wait five minutes, fluff and serve.
“Stuffing is completely underrated. But I’m a man who doesn’t like fancy stuffing. Give me Stove Top stuffing, extra gravy.”
Who said you need to be slaving over a hot stove for hours on end at Thanksgiving? Michael Bublé didn’t.
