Meghan Markle may soon be swapping Netflix for the radio mic. The Duchess of Sussex has been invited to host her own show on Magic FM, after she revealed the surprising British pastime she misses most: listening to the station’s easy-listening hits.
The revelation came during a candid moment on her Netflix series With Love, Meghan. Chatting with Queer Eye star Tan France, Meghan confessed: “One of the things I miss the most about the UK is the radio station called…” before Tan interjected with, “Our radio is so good.” Meghan then smiled and said simply: “Magic.”
Her unexpected admission sparked playful teasing from Tan, who quipped, “Magic FM?! Sorry to say this publicly, but that’s such a grandma station.” Meghan laughed off the joke, but the offhand remark quickly caught the attention of Magic Radio’s Content Director, Paul Sylvester.
Speaking at a Radio Centre event, Sylvester extended a public invitation: “The offer is on the table. If the duchess wants to host a show, she’s very welcome.” He later reiterated the message on X (formerly Twitter), responding to ITV News’ royal editor Chris Ship, who had shared the Netflix clip. “Everyone is welcome to the @magicfm party,” Sylvester wrote.
Fans were quick to react with enthusiasm. “PLEASE!” one supporter begged, while another commented: “Meghan would be great on radio. She has that natural charisma.” Others suggested fun ideas like The Meghan Hour, where the duchess could curate her own playlists. “Not only is her voice so soothing,” one admirer wrote, “but her With Love, Meghan playlist was lovely.”
Meghan has previously highlighted her love of music, sharing behind-the-scenes playlists on Instagram during filming, which she described as a way of keeping the “vibe alive” on set.
The radio offer comes as Meghan continues to wield considerable cultural influence. Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos recently praised her impact, recalling how items featured in the Harry & Meghan docuseries—from $20 shoes to luxury blankets—sold out worldwide. He hailed the duchess as having “remarkable influence.”
Whether Meghan accepts Magic FM’s invitation remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: even years after stepping back from royal life, her ability to spark headlines—and opportunities—shows no sign of fading.
