Meghan Markle Reportedly Feels the Heat as Prince Harry’s Return to the U.K. Exposes His True Feelings

Prince Harry’s potential meeting with his father, King Charles, upon his return to England this week, would leave his wife, Meghan Markle, in an incredibly difficult position, a royal expert has claimed. The Duke of Sussex is set to head back home tonight to attend the annual WellChild awards in London, while on Tuesday, he’s set to carry out engagements in Nottingham. Despite neither side confirming any official meeting, it’s been speculated that Harry could end up meeting with father, King Charles, in what would be the first time since the pair met in February last year.

But according to royal expert Jennie Bond, such a prospect would be an unwelcome scenario for the Duchess of Sussex, who, according to her, would “naturally feel threatened”. She told OK! magazine: “It would be natural for her to feel somewhat threatened by her husband being drawn back into the royal circle. So, I think she would have conflicting emotions about Harry meeting his father, if this is indeed on the cards. I’m sure, though, that they would have discussed it, and that Harry would not go ahead if he did not have his wife’s support.”

Meanwhile, author Tom Bower said Meghan could be feeling “safe” while staying back in Montecito, California, in the knowledge that she and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, remain Harry’s top “priority”.

Three places Prince Harry could stay during UK trip as he’s ‘not offered’ Palace stay

Prince Harry is back in the UK for four days this week, having landed at Heathrow Airport on Monday morning – the third year anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death. The Duke of Sussex, 40, so far has been busy since landing, having travelled to Windsor this morning to lay flowers at the late Queen’s grave.

The duke then attended The Wellchild Awards 2025 in London – a charity the prince is pleased to be patron of. While this is just the start of a busy four days for the prince, who flew back to his home country without his wife Meghan Markle by his side, the duke will no doubt have some time to relax. However, with reports suggesting the duke will not be staying at a royal palace, he will no doubt be relaxing elsewhere. Here at Express.co.uk we have looked at three places the duke may choose to stay this week…

Prince Louis handed surprise position on new royal list – and you’ll be shocked

Prince Louis has been capturing the hearts of the nation for years with his cheeky antics, whether that be dancing on the Buckingham Palace balcony, pulling funny faces or ignoring orders from his older siblings. While Louis, seven, often steals the show at royal events, especially the annual Trooping the Colour, he is not so successful at stealing attention online.

This is because new data has shown that Prince Louis is one of the least googled royals – a major surprise considering how much the public adore him. In new data looking at who were the most googled members of the Royal Family between September 2024 and August 2025, it has been revealed that Louis was among the royals searched the least. In just less than a year, the data from Click Intelligence shows that Prince William and Princess Kate’s youngest son was only searched 71,700 times online.

Queen Elizabeth ‘devastated’ over King Charles’s relationship with key royals

Queen Elizabeth would have been “absolutely devastated” about her son, King Charles’s relationship with two key members of the Royal Family, a royal expert has claimed. The beloved monarch died three years ago today at Balmoral Castle in Scotland at the age of 96.

Queen Elizabeth was close with all of her grandchildren, including Prince William and Prince Harry. Despite the ongoing royal rift after his exit from the Firm in 2020, the Duke of Sussex rushed from Windsor to Balmoral in September 2022 following the announcement of the late Queen’s death.

Real reason Prince William is refusing to meet up with Prince Harry this week

Prince Harry is in the UK to conduct charity endeavours this week, but as tensions still remain strained between Royal Family members, Prince William has reportedly refused to see his brother while he is in the UK. Although senior aides to both the Duke of Sussex and King Charles met in London at a private members’ club, Prince William is said to have firmly declined any potential reunion with his brother.

A source told the Mirror: “William feels Harry has repeatedly chosen public exposure over private resolution and that the Royal Family can’t keep being dragged into the headlines every time there’s a new contract to promote.”

Secret story behind Princess Kate’s hair colour change revealed

Earlier in the year we heard how the Princess of Wales wanted the focus to be on her work rather than her wardrobe. But despite her best efforts, the attention this week has not been on what she was wearing, but her hair colour. Kate, known for her luscious brunette hair, has returned from the summer with a new ‘bronde’ look.

We saw a glimpse of the makeover when she was snapped heading to church last month, but Thursday’s visit to the Natural History Museum marked the first time we got a proper look at the lighter locks. It is understood that she returned from a sun-soaked holiday with naturally lighter hair.

Prince Harry discusses ‘challenging’ relationship with siblings ahead of WellChild speech

Prince Harry discussed the “challenging” relationship between siblings when he spoke to seriously ill youngsters at the 2025 WellChild Awards tonight. Harry cracked joked and delighted a young girl by challenging her to a balloon sword fight in a pre-ceremony reception with the prize winners and their families.

The conversation turned to sibling rivalry while chatting to Declan Bitmead, 17 – winner of the inspirational young person 15-18 years award. Harry quizzed him about family life, asking if he had siblings and the teenager replied he had a younger brother.

Sarah Ferguson issues emotional statement as she shares new picture

Sarah Ferguson has issued an emotional statement today on the three year anniversary of the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Sarah, Duchess of York, was believed to have had a close relationship with the late monarch both when she was married to Prince Andrew, and even after they divorced.

Since the late Queen’s death in 2022, Sarah, 65, and her ex husband Prince Andrew, who she still lives with at Royal Lodge in Windsor, have taken care of Her Majesty’s remaining corgis Sandy and Muick. In a sweet statement today, Sarah said she remembers the late Queen everyday, with the dogs acting as a “daily reminder”. She also shared a photograph of the two dogs.

King Charles’s urgent phone call with country’s PM after Harry and Meghan move

King Charles reportedly had an urgent phone call with Jamaica’s Prime Minister Andrew Holness after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were photographed with him in Kingston last year. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were all smiles in January 2024 when they attended the One Love film premiere.

The couple were believed to have been invited by their good friend and neighbour Brian Robbins, Paramount CEO, and his wife Tracy James. However, this wasn’t known straight away. Instead, it was feared that the couple had been invited by Jamaica’s Prime Minister, who was photographed with the couple at the event. This, according to Theresa Roberts, Jamaica’s Ambassador/Special Investment Envoy for Culture and Arts in the United Kingdom, sparked panic within the Firm.

Royal insiders lift lid on chances of Prince Harry and King Charles meeting this week

After day one of Prince Harry’s highly anticipated UK return, there is still no indication as to whether the King will grant him a meeting. The Duke of Sussex is understood to be desperate to meet his father, as the pair have not seen each other for 19 months.

But the King, who sources repeatedly state is a “forgiving man” and misses having a relationship with his youngest son, has a lot to consider. As both monarch and patriarch, he has to consider how the rest of the Royal Family will respond to a meeting, as many are still reeling from the damning attacks Harry has made in the five years since quitting the Firm.

Prince William’s hilarious response when asked if Prince Louis is ‘a bit of a handful’

Prince William spoke about his youngest son today as he attended a royal engagement with his wife Princess Kate. To mark the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death, the Prince and Princess of Wales visited the National Federation of Women’s Institutes in tribute to the late Queen’s decades-long association with the organisation.

When spending time talking to the members of the organisation, William and Kate were asked about their three children Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven. It was during this conversation when William, 43, was asked by Nina Derrick whether Louis is a “bit of a handful”. William responded that Louis, who is often seen being cheeky at big royal events, is a “very good boy”.

Hilarious pictures show Prince Harry engaging in ‘sword fight’ with young girl

This included nine-year-old Gwen Foster, who was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus and faces daily complex medical challenges. The pair engaged in a playful “sword fight” with yellow balloons.

Prince Archie may be just six-years-old, but it seems he has already developed a love for sport. As well as learning how to surf, the young prince also seems to be taking football lessons – something his royal cousins can relate to.

When sharing behind-the-scenes photographs from season two of “With Love, Meghan” just days ago, Meghan included sweet pictures of her and Prince Harry’s children. It was in one of these photographs that Archie was seen wearing a red football T-shirt, revealing the name of his football school.

‘Nervous’ Prince Harry is ‘more relaxed’ without Meghan as he seeks King Charles meeting

Prince Harry is “more relaxed” without his wife Meghan Markle by his side, an expert has said. The Duke of Sussex, 40, has landed in the UK today for a series of engagements, beginning with the 2025 Wellchild Awards tonight.

The prince, who last visited the UK in April, disembarked from a plane at Heathrow Airport without Meghan, 44, by his side. He then went to Windsor, where he visited Queen Elizabeth II’s grave at St George’s Chapel three years on from her death. While Harry is expected to be in the UK for four days, it is believed the duchess has opted to remain at the couple’s Montecito home with their children Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.

Tonight, he will make a speech, meet and talk to seriously ill children and their families and present an award to an “inspirational child” aged between four and six.

The WellChild awards celebrate the achievements and resilience of seriously ill youngsters and their families. ‘The Duchess of Kent was my teacher – this is what she was really like’

Katharine, The Duchess of Kent, passed away on Thursday night at Kensington Palace. At the age of 92, Katharine achieved plenty in her life, both during her time as a working royal – a role she fulfilled until 2002 – and as an under-the-radar music teacher.

While she may have been a member of the Royal Family, the duchess also had a passion for music, which resulted in her being a music teacher at Wansbeck Primary School in Kingston upon Hull for almost a decade. It was here that she was simply known as Mrs Kent, with not many knowing about her royal status. Following her sad death, the Express has spoken to those who have had their lives changed by the duchess.

Princess Kate reveals seriously surprising fact about Prince George

Princess Kate and Prince William returned to royal duty after spending the summer holidays with their three children Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven. While the Prince and Princess of Wales tend to keep their children’s lives as private as possible, they do sometimes make sweet revelations about their family, much to the delight of royal fans.

This was the case last week when Kate and William, both 43, stepped out together on Thursday at the Natural History Museum for their first royal engagement of the autumn. After spending time at the museum, the future King and Queen spent time talking to members of the public who had gathered outside. One of the conversations was all about the royal children, resulting in Kate revealing a surprising fact about her oldest son, George.

However, since then, Harry has made a number of solo visits back home, but has not returned with Meghan Markle, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

And while Charles’s relationship with his grandchildren from Prince William’s side, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis is ever so close, the same cannot be said about Harry’s children, something which, according to an expert, would not sit well with the late Queen.

Meghan Markle slapped down as Brits deliver brutal verdict on UK return

Prince Harry may be on his way back to the UK for the first time in months, and while some Brits view his return as a welcome change, the same can’t be said about his wife, Meghan Markle, according to the latest figures.

The Duke of Sussex will spend four days in his home country and carry out a series of engagements.

The Duke’s visit sparked speculation about whether his wife should join him or not, as the Duchess has not set foot in the UK since 2022, when she attended the late Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.

However, the Express asked readers if Meghan should take a major leap and return to her husband’s home country, and the response was overwhelmingly clear.

Meghan Markle faced with Netflix ‘headache’ after latest flop

Meghan Markle was criticised for missing a “golden opportunity” to advertise her As Ever products in the latest season of her Netflix show, in what’s been described as a “headache” for the streaming giant, which is also a partner for her lifestyle brand.

The Duchess of Sussex saw the second season of With Love, Meghan get released on August 26, but it flopped in rankings and reviews.

With Love, Meghan did not manage to climb into the streamer’s global Top 10 most-watched shows list during its debut week.

And now, according to a brand expert, this could cause Meghan to be faced with a Netflix headache, as the streaming giant could be worried about the actual profit from its partnership with the Duchess’s brand.

Katharine, Duchess of Kent, was a member of their extended family, as she was the wife of the late Queen’s cousin, the Duke of Kent.

The late royal had stepped away from her royal duties, but had devoted her duties to her passion for music and empathy for young peope and King Charles chose to pay his respects by wearing a all-black outfit and a tartan kilt.

Queen Camilla wore a blue dress with tartan undercoat and a striking beret with a feather in the cap.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle accused of ‘snubbing’ late Queen in final years

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been accused of snubbing the late Queen Elizabeth II in her final years before her 2022 death.

In 2019, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were very much still working royals, however a royal author has suggested that they had begun to distance themselves from the Royal Family.

This is because the couple, who had their newborn son Prince Archie in 2019, declined two invites from the late Queen to join the Royal Family for special occasions that year, quitting royal life months later in early 2020.

Meghan Markle ‘envied Kate’ and raging at Harry’s ‘hovel’, says expert

Meghan Markle was “incredibly envious” of her sister-in-law Kate – now the Princes of Wales – after discovering royal life was not the fairy tale she imagined, royal commentator Ingrid Seward has claimed.

Ms Seward, editor of Majesty magazine and a longtime royal biographer, said Meghan “actually thought she was going to be a princess and live in Windsor Castle.”

Instead, simmering tensions with the wider Royal Family eventually resulted in the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry stepping down as frontline royals and moving to California in 2020.

Meghan and Harry were “stuck in Nottingham Cottage, which Harry used to call ‘my hovel,’” Ms Seward told the Daily Mail. She added that Meghan’s envy deepened as she watched William and Kate enjoy their “beautiful house” in Kensington Palace.

She added: “What should have been a fairy-tale life quickly soured into envy and resentment.”
