Nothing can get between country superstar Luke Bryan and his beloved Georgia Bulldogs. On September 27, 2025, the “American Idol” judge — and proud Georgia native — appeared live with fellow country star Jason Aldean on “SEC Nation” for a pepfest ahead of the University of Georgia’s matchup against the University of Alabama.
Bryan was so amped up for the big game, leading the crowd in one of the team’s popular chants, that he kissed the Bulldogs’ mascot on the mouth after declaring that he’d never do the same with his own dogs back home.
Luke Bryan & Jason Aldean Go Viral on ‘SEC Network’ Before Georgia Bulldogs’ Game
Bryan and Aldean, who also grew up in Georgia, appeared on “SEC Nation” as the show broadcast from outside Sanford Stadium early in the day, with a sea of red-clad fans packed around the stage. Video of Bryan and Aldean leading the audience in its “Who’s that coming down the track” chant quickly went viral, with 1.2 million views racked up on TikTok within hours.
In another video from the show, which Bryan shared in his Instagram Stories, he shouted, “In my household, we have a chocolate lab that’s the love of my life and an English cocker that’s the love of my life. They sleep at the foot of my bed every night, and I don’t kiss ’em on the mouth. There’s only one dog that I’d kiss on the mouth, and it is this one. Go Dawgs!”
Bryan then planted two kisses on the real-life bulldog that serves as a mascot for the team, before wiping his mouth as the crowd — and football great Tim Tebow — went wild behind him. The Bulldogs’ social media account wrote, “Nobody loves Uga like @Luke Bryan loves Uga ❤️🖤”
Luke Bryan & Jason Aldean Announce Historic Georgia Concert

Bryan and Aldean, who are longtime friends, appeared on “SEC Nation” not only to cheer on the Bulldogs, but to announce that in 2026, they’ll perform the first concert at Sanford Stadium since 2013.
According to press materials, the first-ever “Live Between The Hedges” concert will take place on April 25, 2026, headlined by Bryan and Aldean, and also featuring Zach Top and former “American Idol” runner-up Lauren Alaina.
Pre-sale tickets for members of Bryan and Aldean’s fan clubs will go on sale on September 29, while tickets for the general public go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on October 3 via three different sites: LukeBryan.com, JasonAldean.com and GeorgiaDogs.com.
The only other concert ever held at Sanford Stadium featured Bryan and Aldean in 2013, as part of Aldean’s “Night Train” tour.
“Growing up going to Sanford Stadium was always a highlight of the year for me, and I can’t believe I get to go back as a co-headliner with one of my best friends and play this iconic place,” Bryan said in a statement. “Aldean and I have been talking about putting on a unique show together for a few years and to be able to do that in our home turf is incredible. I am so grateful to continue to have these opportunities and to keep being able to have so much fun at this life. This is going to be way up there on the list for me!”
