This week will be one of country music’s biggest nights in Nashville with the annual CMA Awards.
The 59th Annual CMA Awards will be held at Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 19.
On Sunday, CMA host and country music superstar Lainey Wilson shared her excitement and thoughts on the show and taking on hosting duties alone. This will be Wilson’s second consecutive year hosting the show.
Wilson said she has a history of watching the CMAs and was a big fam long before she ever took the stage.
“My daddy would get off the tractor, and it was like our night as a family to sit there and watch it together and see what everybody was wearing. To see the interactions between artists to see who was friends with who. It was one of my favorite childhood memories,” Wilson said.

Wilson is nominated for Single of the Year and Song of the Year for her song, “4x4xU.” She was also nominated for Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year for her album “Whirlwind and Music Video of the Year for her song “Somewhere Over Laredo.”
The CMA Awards is the longest-running annual music awards program on network television.
