As the WNBPA’s first Vice President, Kelsey Plum is driving change. “My goal is, by the time I leave the league, I would like to see it a lot better than I found it,” she once said. Come the CBA negotiations, she is following through on her commitment. Plum is on the front lines of the battle and advocating for change, but her efforts aren’t limited to WNBA players alone. She’s determined to drive change through her endorsements, too.

With her ‘Dawg Class’ with Under Armour, Plum pitches in towards the next generation of women’s basketball. This year was the third edition of the event, featuring the likes of Georgia Amoore and Shyanne Sellers. Plum and Under Armour offer a holistic training experience that fuses on-court drills, competitive scrimmages, leadership sessions, and off-court growth opportunities to these emerging players. Now, she has become the face of a brand founded by the next generation of women entrepreneurs.
“I’m super pumped to share that I am part of the Buffy Protein founding team. What is Buffy protein about to change your life? I love to snack. It’s hard to get a ton of protein. You have to be super intentional, and this is just a great way to get it. It tastes amazing, and it’s versatile,” Plum announced on Instagram.
Emily Williams and Audrey Melville are the two women who founded Buffy Protein. In an era of ‘gym bros,’ Williams and Melville are bringing accessible protein sources differently. Buffy Protein is built on being an all-natural protein source. “As an athlete, I’m constantly looking for clean, protein-packed fuel that actually tastes good,” Plum told Newsweek. “The fact that this is a female-led company that’s rethinking what snacking can look like made it even more exciting.”
And as always, the fans immediately congratulated their favorite athlete.
LA Sparks star Kelsey Plum’s latest endorsement ignites fan interest
“Kelsey Yum strikes AGAIN 😍” wrote a fan. Plum has been on a roll in the offseason, getting multiple endorsements. Just a couple of weeks ago, Plum collaborated with Google Gemini on an Instagram post. A few weeks ago, she did the same with Smart Water. The Sparks guard also joined Unrivaled as part of her offseason, further enhancing her brand as a basketball star. Another fan wrote to congratulate the star, writing, “Congrats 🎈.”
Kelsey Plum has become a familiar face in countless brand campaigns, but the two-time WNBA champion and Olympic gold medalist is taking her business game to a new level. Buffy Protein announced that Plum is joining as both brand ambassador and part of its founding team. The 31-year-old isn’t stopping at endorsements, but she’ll play a hands-on role in shaping Buffy’s market debut and leading its retail expansion by pitching directly to major distributors.
Plum said she wanted to be part of building the brand, and not just put her name on it, because of her connection to Buffy’s mission to deliver “delicious and nutritious fuel for the next generation of hungry, protein-seeking snackers.”
“Work hard, play hard, eat hard facts💯,” wrote another fan. When an athlete collaborates with a brand, the integration is often the most difficult part. However, with Plum and a healthy snack, it seems even more natural. Plum is among the fittest athletes in the WNBA and already advocates for mental health, so physical health is a natural progression. “Kelsey is the GOAT and so is Buffy,” wrote another fan. Plum left the 2025 champion Las Vegas Aces this past offseason to lead her own team, the Los Angeles Sparks.

She led the side to a respectable 21-23 record while leading the team in points and assists per game. “I love you, KP,” wrote another fan. Plum has always been among the best players in the league, even when she had to share the stage with A’ja Wilson at the Aces. Beyond the court, fans love her authentic personality and straightforward moments in the media. “It’s not a rivalry, they’ve kicked our a**. So until we win at least like six or seven more matchups, respectfully, it can’t be a rivalry. That’s like the Giants and Jets,” said Plum on their rivalry with the Aces before they faced off.
