Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is giving fans a glimpse into what could come after his NFL career, and it’s not what many might expect. While he continues to dominate on the football field, Kelce is exploring opportunities outside the NFL.

On the latest episode of his New Heights podcast with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Travis Kelce shared his longtime dream of stepping into a wrestling ring. “When the opportunity presents itself, you know I’ll dive in there. I’ve been dreaming about this and working on my moves in the living room for years. I’m off the top rope,” he said.

The Rock joked about teaming up with Kelce, dubbing the potential duo “The Final Boss and Travis.” Interestingly, Kelce’s wrestling interest comes after AEW co-founder Jeff Jarrett publicly offered him an opportunity to step into the ring.

Speaking to TMZ Sports about a month before Kelce’s podcast, Jarrett said, “I think he can make a lot of noise. Him and his brother are showmen at heart. You can tell it’s in their DNA.” Kelce’s brother Jason, who had recently appeared at WrestleMania 40, fueled the speculation.

While football and now wrestling seem to remain at the forefront, ESPN executives have also expressed interest in Kelce for a potential broadcasting role. The network is drawn to his media personality, particularly with the success of his New Heights podcast, and could offer him a post-NFL platform similar to his brother Jason’s media work.

Amid all of this, Travis Kelce has addressed retirement questions during ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown. When asked how many more seasons he envisions, he said, “I take it day by day, year by year. I just love coming into work with these guys right here. That culture has become, you know, my way of life. The expectation year in and year out is Super Bowl or failure.”

So, for now, Travis Kelce has a wrestling and hosting gig possibility after the NFL.
