Kanye West once claimed that his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, accused him of “putting a hit out on her” during their messy divorce proceedings.
The “Heartless” rapper’s accusations resurfaced shortly after the Skims founder claimed she was in danger from “someone extremely close” to her in a new Season 7 trailer for “The Kardashians.”
“YESTERDAY KIM ACCUSED ME OF PUTTING A HIT OUT ON HER,” he wrote via X in February 2022.
“SO LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT I BEG TO GO TO MY DAUGHTERS PARTY AND IM ACCUSED OF BEING ON DRUGS THEN I GO PLAY WITH MY SON AND I TAKE MY AKIRA GRAPHIC NOVELS AND IM ACCUSED OF STEALING,” West, 48, added.
The Grammy winner claimed that the allegations against him could “ACTUALLY GET SOMEONE LOCKED UP.”
“THEY PLAY LIKE THAT WITH BLACK MENS LIVES WEATHER [SIC] ITS GETTING THEM FREE OR GETTING THEM LOCKED UP,” he continued. “IM NOT PLAYING ABOUT MY BLACK CHILDREN ANYMORE.”
At the time, reps for Kardashian, 44, didn’t respond to Page Six for comment.
West and the reality star got married in 2014 and welcomed kids — North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6 — before parting ways in 2021.
Their divorce proceedings turned messy, as the “Bound2” singer constantly slammed Kardashian’s parenting online, leading Kardashian to publicly call out her ex’s “need for attacking [her] in interviews and on social media.”

West’s allegations, meanwhile, once again came to light after the businesswoman shared in the “Kardashians” Season 7 teaser clip that “Someone extremely close to [her] put a hit out on [her] life.”
Kardashian didn’t share the identity of the person, she explained that she learned about the alleged hit through her investigators.
“I am terrified out of my mind,” she said while crying, before hinting that the situation was resolved.
“I’m happy it’s over,” Kardashian emotionally added in a confessional.
While it’s unclear who was involved in the alleged hit, the mom of four previously filed a restraining order against Melvin Jeffery Conley, an alleged stalker she claimed went to her Malibu, Calif., home to meet her in 2024, TMZ previously reported.
The forthcoming season of the Hulu reality show also shows Kardashian coming face-to-face with the men who robbed her at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room in 2016, and were found guilty in May.
