In his first interview on Australian soil, Jelly Roll has joined two-time Olympic triathlete Courtney Atkinson and Triple M Breakfast radio host Liam Flanagan to share how running has transformed his life and helped him lose over 120kg.
On the latest ep of the In The Beginning podcast, the U.S chart-topper also reveals he has fallen hard for Australian sport.
Hours before his sold-out Brisbane show, the Grammy-nominated artist jumped on the pod, declaring AFL superior to rugby and sharing how running helped him turn his life around.
“Running didn’t replace a vice — feeling good did.”

Jelly Roll now runs daily with his crew as part of his inclusive Losers Run Club, turning what was once bar culture into a health movement.
The Tennessee native also revealed he’s taking recruitment pitches from AFL clubs!
“Once you’ve watched Australian football, it’s hard to watch rugby again. Recruit me — I’ll announce my AFL team before I leave.”
The latest ep of the In The Beginning Podcast featuring Jelly Roll is out now on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube.
