Democratic Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett not only cited the wrong Jeffrey Epstein in her Tuesday floor speech attacking Republicans — records show her team also appears to have fallen for obvious troll donations listing Epstein’s occupation as “child molestor.”

Crockett claimed Tuesday that GOP figures including EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin took money from “somebody named Jeffrey Epstein.” Zeldin and others quickly pointed out the donations came from a New York physician and other individuals who share the name — not the deceased sex offender. Some of the donations were made after Epstein’s death.

A Daily Caller review of Federal Election Commission records Crockett listed included WinRed, the Republican online fundraising platform, which has received multiple micro-donations from someone using the name “Jeffrey Epstein” while listing their occupation as “CHILD MOLESTOR” and employer as “JEFFREY EPSTEIN.”

The troll entries include donations as small as $1.04, with one dated February 28, 2025 — nearly six years after Epstein died in a Manhattan jail cell in August 2019. The entries list a Palm Beach, Florida, address.

FEC donation fields are self-reported and appear in filings as entered by the donor unless campaigns later amend them. The “child molestor” entries remain visible on the commission’s live database.

“Yes Crockett, a physician named Dr. Jeffrey Epstein (who is a totally different person than the other Jeffrey Epstein) donated to a prior campaign of mine. NO FREAKIN RELATION YOU GENIUS!!!” Zeldin wrote on X.

During her Tuesday floor speech, Crockett said she had her team “dig in very quickly” on FEC filings before naming Republicans and GOP groups, including WinRed, that she alleged took Epstein money.

FEC records show no donations to Zeldin from the convicted sex offender. Records do show donations from Dr. Jeffrey Epstein of Manhasset, New York, made in April and August 2020, months after the financier’s death.
