Explosive Revelation: Donald Trump Jr. Accuses Whoopi Goldberg of Foul-Mouthed Outburst During ‘The View’ Commercial Break.th

  • Donald Trump Jr. has alleged that Whoopi Goldberg swore at The View audience during a commercial break.
  • Trump Jr. said that audiences “should force ABC to release the footage” in the future.
  • He claimed that Goldberg was “MFing the crowd who turned on her” during the interview.

Donald Trump Jr. has made a shocking claim about his 2019 appearance on The View, during which he alleged that EGOT-winning actress Whoopi Goldberg swore at the studio audience after they “turned on her” during the chat, he said.

Whoopi Goldberg Inks New 4-Year Deal to Remain on 'The View'

The former Apprentice supporting star and eldest child of President Donald Trump shared the claim Wednesday on X in a response to another post made by controversial British media personality Oli London. In London’s message, he singled out commentary from View panelist Joy Behar, who, moments after a tense on-air interview with Cheryl Hines (the wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.), urged more Republicans to sit for discussions at the Hot Topics table.

“I’ve been on The View, and if you want to have some fun, you should go back and watch the episode,” Trump Jr. wrote, referencing his six-year-old appearance on the show alongside his then significant other, Kimberly Guilfoyle.

Trump Jr. continued, saying, “If you want to have even more fun, you should force ABC to release the footage during the commercial breaks.”

It was there, Trump Jr. alleged, that “it was truly epic watching Whoopie [sic] MFing the crowd who turned on her.”

Entertainment Weekly has reached out to representatives for The View and Goldberg for a response.

In a quote-post of her own, former The View cohost Meghan McCain — who interviewed Trump Jr. at the time alongside Goldberg, Behar, Sunny Hostin, and ex-cohost Abby Huntsman — agreed with the sentiment.

“He’s right,” McCain, who left the program in 2021, alleged. “It was an absolute Jerry Springer s— show.”

McCain herself confronted Trump Jr. on the air about the Trump camp’s comments about Gold Star Families — including the elder Trump’s criticism of the late Sen. John McCain, the former cohost’s father.

Guilfoyle also complained about “negative coverage of President Trump” during the administration, to which Goldberg repeated, “Suck it up!” In response, Trump Jr. brought up his view that there was “zero criticism for anything” President Barack Obama did in his eight years in office.

“Now, what you can’t do is you can’t change the past. Obama became president, and the first thing that was said to him from the other side is, we’re going to make sure you’re a one-term president,” Goldberg continued. “I just want to say, who said it? I believe Mitch McConnell said it. And that you can look up. I’m just saying to you that this is part of being president. Listen, part of being president is having a pair that can take whatever heat comes toward you.”

“My father’s got a pair, and no sitting president has taken the heat that Donald Trump has,” his son claimed.

Still, it should be noted that, while McCain was on the show, the program welcomed many conservative figures to temporarily cohost at the Hot Topics table, including Gretchen Carlson, Condoleezza Rice, Amanda Carpenter, and McCain’s mother, Cindy McCain.

Interview subjects at the time also included additional conservative figures like Brett Baier, Caitlyn Jenner, Chris Christie, Dr. Phil, Sen. Jeff Flake, Judge Jeanine Pirro, Michael Cohen, Newt Gingrich, Omarosa Manigault Newman, Rep. Matt Gaetz, and Sen. Ted Cruz, among others.

Pirro’s interview went down in The View history as one of the most contentious on-air guest spots the show has ever seen, with Goldberg and Pirro raising their voices at each other at the table.

After the on-air spat, Goldberg expressed what happened behind the scenes at the show.

“She stopped and put her finger in my face and yelled,” Goldberg alleged. “Then, I said to her some few choice words I cannot repeat.” Goldberg then claimed that Pirro left the building “cursing at” the team that booked the show.

Pirro told Fox News that Goldberg allegedly yelled, “F— you” at her, then urged her to “get the f— out of this building” following the interview.

In a subsequent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Goldberg said she hadn’t spoken to Pirro at all after the incident, because “there’s no reason to” do so.

Tension mounting at 'The View' as hosts asked to dial back Trump criticisms, layoffs: 'Morale is low'

“If there’s something that’s intelligent that she has to bring to the show, I’m sure they will book her,” Goldberg said. “I don’t book the show. I work there, I get a very interesting paycheck.”
