Edinburgh fans of American country singer Luke Combs are gutted after a ‘false alarm’ second tour date popped up for the capital.
The 35-year-old is heading to the capital on July 25 next year, as part of his My Kinda Saturday Night tour. Advanced pre-sale tickets were released on Tuesday, October 14, at 10am.
Fans got their hopes up when a second date appeared on The Castellow’s website, one of the opening acts for Luke Combs’ UK tour.
A fan took to TikTok to alert fans, who was thrilled to see what appeared to be a second Edinburgh show amid a competitive ticket pre-sale.
The video was posted with the caption: “LUKE COMBS NEW EDINBURGH DATE!!!”
The vlogger addressed her followers: “Tell me why the Castellows website has an extra date for the 26th of July.
“This is big news”.
However, fans expressed their confusion when the information did not seem to check out.
One posted in the comments saying: “It’s definitely not! Go on Ticket Master and Luke Combs site and [the new date is] def not there”.
The original poster replied: “It was on the Castellows website – they’ve taken it off. Someone messed up”.
Another fan added: “Really do hope they add some extra dates in the UK because it was an absolute nightmare trying to get tickets today, I couldn’t get a single one”.
This comes as pre-sale and general tickets were released on Wednesday and Thursday, but it looks like many keen fans were already been left empty handed. It was claimed that the online queue stalled, before displaying an error message and accusing fans of being a bot.
It left fans fuming, with one taking to X saying: “I waited online and got to the front of the queue for Luke Combs tickets at Murrayfield to be kicked out.
“Absolutely a joke of a company. I done all the maintenance before the tickets even went on sale.”
A Ticketmaster spokesperson said at the time: “As expected, this was very popular presale and wait times may be long.
“We always advise to fans to make sure they only use one tab, clear their cookies, and do not use any VPN software on their device.
