The official snap counts from the Philadelphia Eagles’ Week 4 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in! Let’s take a look and run through some analysis.
OFFENSE
- Jalen Hurts, Jordan Mailata, and Cam Jurgens have played 100% of the Eagles’ offensive snaps so far this season. Only offensive players to do so.
- A.J. Brown only missed two snaps. Despite this, he only had two catches … for seven yards. It really shouldn’t be rocket science to get him involved more effectively.
- Tyler Steen briefly missed some time after holding his knee while on the ground. Matt Pryor filled in at right guard before he returned.
- Dallas Goedert’s snap count percentage was lower than usual. An injury issue appeared to be bothering him at one point but he finished the game.
- Lane Johnson left the game early with a shoulder injury and did not return. Fred Johnson filled in at right tackle.
- Jahan Dotson played his second-highest snap count percentage of the season but didn’t see a target for the first time in a game this season.
- After only playing 19% of the Eagles’ snaps in Week 3, Grant Calcaterra ticked back up to 49% in Week 4.
- Cameron Latu continues to see limited playing time in a blocking role as TE3 over Kylen Granson.
- A.J. Dillon was RB2 behind Saquon Barkley with three carries for 17 yards. Looked solid.
- John Metchie played just five snaps. His two targets resulted in two catches for 10 yards. That’s three more receiving yards than A.J. Brown had.
- Will Shipley was RB3 in his first game back from injury. Perhaps the Eagles are in the process of easing him back in. He saw a target for zero receptions but did not log a carry.
DEFENSE
- Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, Reed Blankenship, and Zack Baun have played 100% of the Eagles’ defensive snaps so far this season. Only defensive players to do so.
- Andrew Mukuba played 100% of the Eagles’ defensive snaps for the first time this season. The rookie safety previously rotated with Sydney Brown through the first three weeks. Mukuba had some struggles in coverage; most notably when he allowed the deep touchdown completion to Emeka Egbuka. But it’s a good sign for his stock that Vic Fangio is trusting him to play more often.
- Jihaad Campbell left the game late in the fourth quarter but he seems to be OK.
- Kelee Ringo started at cornerback with Adoree’ Jackson ruled doubtful to play due to injury and Jakorian Bennett placed on injured reserve. He missed some tackles but wasn’t a major liability in coverage … in part because the Bucs didn’t seem to test him all that often.
- With Nolan Smith on injured reserve, Jalyx Hunt led all Eagles edge rushers in playing time. Za’Darius Smith was second. Joshua Uche saw more playing time than usual as the third option. Patrick Johnson ended up being fourth.
- Not counting Week 1, Jalen Carter played his lowest snap count percentage of the season. He appeared to be hurting from the shoulder injury that has been plaguing him.
- This was the quietest game of the season for Jordan Davis. He played his second-lowest snap count percentage.
- Ogbo Okoronkwo suffered a season-ending triceps injury just four snaps into his 2025 season. Brutal.
- Parry Nickerson took the field in the Eagles’ dime package as the Birds were defending the Bucs’ final drive. He logged two tackles and a forced fumble. Efficient. These were Nickerson’s first regular season defensive snaps since … the Miami Dolphins’ loss to the Eagles in 2023.
- Ty Robinson made his NFL regular season debut on defense with two snaps. Very small role as DT5.
SPECIAL TEAMS
- Mac McWilliams played just two special teams snaps in the Eagles’ first three games. The rookie corner had a bigger workload this week due to Ringo moving up the depth chart.
- Tank Bigsby has yet to play a snap on offense for the Eagles since they traded a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2026 sixth-round pick for him. He’s returned five kicks for a pedestrian 21.2 average.
DID NOT PLAY
INACTIVE: Adoree’ Jackson, Sam Howell, Azeez Ojulari, Drew Kendall, Xavier Gipson

ACTIVE: Tanner McKee
- With McKee back as QB2, Howell will be the Eagles’ emergency third quarterback moving forward.
- It’ll be interesting to see if Jackson gets his starting job back or if the Eagles will roll with Ringo.
- The Eagles signing Ojulari cancelled out the compensatory pick they would’ve received for Isaiah Rodgers, who they probably should’ve just kept. But now Ojulari has a chance to contribute with Nolan Smith going on IR and Okoronkwo reportedly being out for the season.
- Gipson was a healthy scratch after being claimed off waivers. One would think the Eagles will get him involved as a kick returner at some point?
