The Kansas City Chiefs take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday Night Football in Week 5. One day before the primetime matchup, tight end Travis Kelce celebrated his 36th birthday.

Kelce and the team landed in Jacksonville on Sunday night for the big game. While his fiancée, Taylor Swift, continues to promote her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl, which dropped on October 3, Kelce spent time with family. The veteran’s mom, Donna Kelce, uncle Don, and his wife, Joan, visited Kelce at the team hotel after watching “The Official Release of a Showgirl” in theaters.

As a companion piece to her 12th studio album, Swift released an 89-minute film that ran on the big screen from Friday to Sunday.

Kelce’s future bride made cultural history following her film’s release. Over the weekend, the 35-year-old pop star owned the No. 1 movie, No. 1 album, and No. 1 song (“The Fate of Ophelia“) in America. She’s the first artist to do so since Prince in 1984 and the only female to achieve the historic feat.

While Swift couldn’t make it to EverBank Stadium for the Chiefs-Jaguars showdown on October 6, Kelce made some history of his own.

Travis Kelce Racked Up The Most All-Purpose Yards In Chiefs History

Kelce entered Week 5 with 15 receptions for 182 yards and one touchdown. After making receptions in the first quarter against the Jaguars, the Chiefs made a major announcement.

The team posted, “Another list with Travis at the top 🏹 Thanks for all the yards, @tkelce!” Kelce now owns the record for the most all-purpose yards in franchise history with 12,357 yards. Shortly after the announcement was made, the future NFL Hall of Famer further padded those stats.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes found Kelce in the end zone for the first score of the game, giving Kansas a 7-0 lead. That score marked Kelce’s 79th career touchdown.

Kelce, who’s playing in his 13th season in the NFL, is no stranger to breaking records. He is the only tight end in NFL history with multiple 100+ reception seasons. In 2020, Kelce set an NFL record for most receiving yards (1,416) y a tight end in a single season. He holds the longest streak in franchise history after catching a pass in 174 consecutive games.

The 10-time Pro Bowler spoke with his older brother, Jason Kelce, before kickoff, as the 37-year-old serves as an analyst on ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown.” Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and Mahomes also joined the sit-down interview.

“Trav, year 13. I don’t know how many you got left,” Jason asked. “How are you approaching this season?”

“Man, I’ll be fortunate to keep having fun with these guys year in year out, man,” the three-time Super Bowl champion answered. “I take it day by day, year by year. I just love coming into work with these guys… That culture has become my way of life. The expectations every year single year, year in and year out is Super Bowl or failure.”

Jason also couldn’t help but ask the question everyone wants to know, “Trav, when’s the wedding?” His little brother shook his head and laughed as he said, “Shut the [expletive] up.”
