The 59th Annual Country Music Association (CMA)’s award show is airing tonight on ABC at 8 p.m. Eastern Time and 7 p.m. Central Time. And country fans will finally find out who will take home the coveted chart-bullet trophy for the country music “Song of the Year” award.
The CMA nominees for the 59th Annual CMA Awards were announced in September. And the “Song of the Year” category nominees included “4x4xU,” written by Jon Decious, Aaron Raitiere, and Lainey Wilson; “Am I Okay?” written by Jessie Jo Dillon, Luke Laird, and Megan Moroney; “I Never Lie” written by Carson Chamberlain, Tim Nichols, and Zach Top; “Texas” written by Johnny Clawson, Josh Dorr, Lalo Guzman, and Kyle Sturrock; and “you look like you love me” written by Riley Green, Ella Langley, and Aaron Raitiere.
Even though there will only be one song of the year, all five of these country hits have made history by snagging nominations for their noteworthy impact on country music. Listen to them all here before the big announcement.
