The Kansas City Chiefs got their first win of the 2025 season but the celebrations need to be left behind as the team preps for their Week 4 opponent, the Baltimore Ravens. Both teams are surprisingly 1-2 to start the year as brutal schedules have really made their mark.
The Ravens have not only struggled defensively but the team has seen problems offensively as well. One of the most concerning issues for them so far has been Derrick Henry’s tendency to lose the football, as the Ravens running back has fumbled at least once in every game this season.
Henry is well-aware of his fumbling problems and his latest comments concerning the issue could very much be taken as a warning to the Chiefs ahead of this key match-up. The Ravens running back said that he feels his faith is being tested and then dropped this bombshell of a quote that’s only slightly terrifying.
“Those tables turn… and when they do… I’ll be ready.”
Derrick Henry promises a scarier version of himself ahead of Week 4
Yeah, hearing a guy who can absolutely run roughshod over defenses say something like this right before he’s set to play your team isn’t an ideal scenario to be in. The good news, however, is that Steve Spagnuolo’s defenses have played pretty well against Henry. In the Week 1 game last year, Henry only rushed for 46 yards though he did score a touchdown in that one.
To throw it further back, Spags’ defense held Henry to under 70 yards rushing and a touchdown in the AFC Championship when Henry was still a member of the Titans. In other words, Spags knows how to slow down the former Alabama product so that should give Chiefs fans at least a little relief heading into this game.
The hope is that Henry can be an ineffective piece in this game and maybe his fumbling issues can carry over for at least one more week. It’d be nice for the Chiefs’ struggling offense to have a few extra opportunities to further expose the rough-looking Ravens defense.
A lot is on the line this weekend when these two teams meet up and hopefully K.C. can get back to .500 and make all of the other teams squirm.
