David Ortiz couldn’t resist — joins Vlad Guerrero Jr. in a savage troll of the Yankees after their playoff collapse. lt

David Ortiz had fun after the Toronto Blue Jays sent the New York Yankees packing.

The Blue Jays advanced to the American League Championship for the first time in nine years following Wednesday’s 5-2 win over the Yankees. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. tormented his AL East rival throughout the four-game series, going 9-for-17 with three home runs.

During the post-game celebration, Ortiz and Guerrero joined forces to rub dirt in the Yankees’ wound. While speaking to Fox Sports amid Toronto’s locker room celebration, the first baseman gleefully shouted Big Papi’s signature taunt that plays off former radio announcer John Sterling’s call after a Yankees win.

“Daaaaaaa Yankees lose!” Guerrero Jr. bellowed.

Ortiz laughed and clapped before delivering the line himself. The Hall of Famer repeatedly encouraged Guerrero to say it together as Yankees legends Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez looked on and shook their heads.

Toronto’s trolling didn’t end there. Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York,” which the Yankees play at home after a win, emanated as they partied in the clubhouse. Ortiz cackled as Fox host Kevin Burkhardt noted the pointed musical selection.

“That hurts,” Rodriguez said. “Wow.”

Guerrero earned the right to gloat after a dominant display. He collected multiple hits and RBIs with a home run in each of the first three games, including a thunderous grand slam in the fourth inning of Game 2’s 13-7 triumph.

The five-time All-Star may be taking Ortiz’s mantle as the game’s preeminent Yankee killer. Not including his playoff fireworks, Guerrero has batted .302/.367/.550 with 22 homers in 102 career games against the Evil Empire.

This comes two years after Guerrero said he’d “never” play for the Yankees. Although he later softened that stance, the slugger ensured that he’ll keep oppising them by signing a 14-year, $500 million extension with the Blue Jays in April.
