Country singer Clay Walker was one of the most popular artists of the 1990s, and his beloved favorites still have people singing along to this day. From “Live Until I Die” to “This Woman and This Man” to “What’s It To You?,” there’s a reason his music has stood the test of time.
Walker has been on tour for a few months now, and at a recent show, he brought his daughter, Mary-Elizabeth, out on stage to perform with him. At the age of only 13, it’s clear that she’s inherited the music gene from her famous dad, and she has quite an impressive voice given her young age!
Her cover of Carrie Underwood‘s “Jesus Take the Wheel” even had Walker tearing up.
Aww. He’s such a proud dad, as he should be! “Jesus Take the Wheel” is such an emotional, powerful song, and it’s not an easy one to belt out, but she totally nailed it.
People who watched the video were equally as impressed. One person said, “Mary-Elizabeth is so amazing. I love to hear her sing. Thank you, Clay, for sharing.”
Another viewer added, “This young lady has some pipes!”
And someone else noted, “Yes! We were there last night too. Holy cow, if his kids are any indication as to what’s to come in the music world, we are in for a treat! (And his son that sang “More Than a Feeling?!”)” Man. We would’ve loved to see that one too.
Back in June, Walker’s son blew the crowd away at another concert by covering Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing,” which only proves even further just how musically talented this family is.
Walker has a total of seven children — five with his current wife, Jessica, and then he also has two adult children from a previous marriage.
Clay Walker’s Current Tour
If you’d love to catch Walker and his gifted kids in action, you’re in luck because he has tour dates scheduled into summer of 2026.
His next upcoming shows are this weekend, November 8th and 9th. He performs in Dothan, Alabama on Saturday and at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on Sunday.
After that, he’s headed to the Troubadour Festival in Texas, then out to Nevada in early December.
As someone who’s been a huge fan of country since the 1980s, I’d sure love to take in a Clay Walker show. He’s one of those artists whose music never gets old and always takes you back to a happy, simpler time.
