Heavy rain forced the postponement of country star Tucker Wetmore‘s performance in Round Rock, Texas. On Saturday, Oct. 25, the country artist was supposed to play at the Round Rock Amphitheater. However, the area was hit by heavy storms, leaving the ground extremely muddy and ultimately unsafe to continue the event. The county singer didn’t just pack up his guitar and escape the conditions—he stayed and helped fans who got stuck in the mud as they tried to leave.

Wetmore posted a selfie and a brief but heartfelt apology to his fans on his Instagram stories on Saturday night. “Round Rock, TX. I’m sorry. I can’t control the weather. But I will be back. Love y’all,” he wrote in one of his stories.
Wetmore, who hails from Kalama, Wash., didn’t let his supporters down, despite the fact that he was unable to perform for them as he had planned. In order to prevent concertgoers who’d driven to the site from being entangled in the muddy mess, he stayed behind to lend a hand and make sure everyone who ventured out for the show was safe.

He posted a video of himself and several other good samaritans among his entourage helping fans who got stuck.
“The show got cancelled, so this is what we did instead,” the caption to the video reads.
The country singer is seen in the video taking a moment to help push trucks out of the muck, proving his devotion to fans even when he isn’t performing. Additionally, Wetmore paused to pose for pictures and sign autographs for several people. Commenters were blown away by the act.
“Even with the rain, still one of the best experiences with the girls,” one fan commented.
“The most incredible people!! Tucker and every member of his amazing entourage are incredible super humans,” another fan said.
“Man of the people,” another fan dubbed him in the comments.
The live music venue announced on its official Facebook page that the event had been postponed because of the weather only minutes before it was scheduled to begin. Additionally, the event organizers announced that all ticket purchasers will receive an email with additional details the following week. Concert goers who had their plans canceled and bought a ticket in the hopes of seeing Wetmore perform live should be receiving additional information about the concert’s rescheduling.
