Cameron Brink Just Secured a Major Role Beyond the WNBA — and Fans Can’t Stop Talking About It. MT

Los Angeles Sparks star Cameron Brink faced adversity throughout her first two seasons in the WNBA. As the offseason begins, Brink is embarking on a new basketball journey outside the league — but one that plays right into her strengths.

The 6-foot-4 center is still working to get back to the dominant force she was at Stanford, which led to her being taken by the Sparks with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft after the Indiana Fever picked Caitlin Clark.

Brink’s rookie season was derailed after 15 games when she suffered a season-ending ACL injury. She returned to the floor this season on July 25, playing in 19 games off the bench for a Los Angeles team that finished 21-23 and failed to make the WNBA playoffs. Across Brink’s first two seasons, she is averaging 6.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game.

Next up for Brink is a full season of Unrivaled — the professional 3-on-3 league entering its second season in 2026.

Brink originally signed with the league in December 2024, but could not play the inaugural 2025 season due to her knee injury. She was a member of the Lunar Owls team that included WNBA All-Stars Napheesa Collier, Skylar Diggins, Allisha Gray and Courtney Williams.

On top of the chance to get back to her best on the court, the offseason move guarantees Brink six-figure income during the offseason worth more than her 2025 WNBA salary of $78,066 from the Sparks.

She joins the list of 2026 participants Unrivaled has announced so far that also includes Sparks players Rickea Jackson and Azura Stevens and Brink’s college teammate, Lexie Hull. For its second season, the league is adding two new teams, creating 48 total roster spots plus a six-player development pool.

Brink will be able to utilize her experience on the USA Basketball 3×3 team. She was the tournament MVP when the team won gold at the 2023 FIBA 3×3 World Cup in Austria playing alongside Chicago Sky guard Hailey Van Lith. She was named to the 3×3 team for the 2024 Olympics in Paris, but could not compete due to the injury.
