6:30 PM: Cal Adomitis jokingly asked Eagles fans not to hold it against him that he’s from the other side of Pennsylvania.
The Eagles signed Adomitis to take over the long snapping duties on Tuesday when Charley Hughlett was placed on Injured Reserve. After being released by the Cincinnati Bengals at the end of the preseason, Adomitis returned home to the Pittsburgh area. He worked out and trained for several hours a day at J.C. Stone Field in North Park, just north of the city.
“It was a good opportunity for me to just kind of take some time to kind of reflect on my past three years in Cincinnati and things that I had been working on to improve, the things that I feel that I’m good at, and then just really have some time to dive into it on my own time,” Adomitis said. “It just kind of brought me back to, I don’t know, not to be corny, like my roots a little bit of just playing ball and having fun and enjoying it and having fun with it.”

He worked out for the Giants last week before receiving a call on Monday that the Eagles wanted to sign him.
“There were definitely moments of anxiety and I know I still obviously have to perform and earn this job every week, but I just tried to focus on the positives of it,” he said. “I think that’s what helped keep me the most sane and helped rekindle in a lot of ways my love of snapping and my excitement to go back out there and do it again.”
An All-American at Pitt, Adomitis was a rookie free agent signing of the Bengals in 2022 and earned a spot on the practice squad out of Training Camp. It didn’t take long for Adomitis to get on the field in the same manner that he is in Philadelphia. Bengals long snapper Clark Harris was injured in Cincinnati’s season opener in 2022. Adomitis was promoted from the practice squad and never looked back. He comes to Philadelphia with 52 games of NFL experience, including playoffs.
He’s no stranger to Lincoln Financial Field, having snapped in Philadelphia earlier this preseason. He’s working with one of the best kicking operations in the league as Jake Elliott, who started his career on the Bengals’ practice squad in 2017 before being signed by the Eagles, is one of only nine kickers to not have missed a kick so far in 2025.
“I mean, it’s super exciting, and all I want to do is just earn the respect of my teammates and coaches,” Adomitis said. “I’m going to be for the most part seen and not heard and just do my job and hope to add value any way I can and just show that I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity, extremely grateful to be in this city with a program that’s a very storied program and is having tons of success.” – Chris McPherson

12:46 PM: Third-year cornerback Kelee Ringo stepped in for an injured Adoree’ Jackson (groin) in Sunday’s 31-25 win over the Buccaneers. Ringo, who the Eagles drafted 105th overall in 2023, was targeted four times and gave up just one catch for 8 yards, according to Pro Football Focus.
Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio liked parts of what he saw in Ringo’s first start of the season and said “it’s possible” Ringo could remain the starter when Jackson is healthy.
“I thought he did good,” Fangio said of Ringo. “I mean, he can be better, the true test for him will be to see how he improves, but overall, [he] did good. … He was pretty sticky in man coverage. I’d like to see his tackling improve. One thing a guy has to learn that has played predominantly special teams is tackling on defense is a lot different than tackling in special teams. But I’m confident he can improve that.” – Matt Ryan
