The Denver Broncos have already added two former San Francisco 49ers this spring, but they won’t be completing a trifecta.
The Broncos have not reached out to and aren’t interested in signing free agent fullback Kyle Juszczyk, according to a report from the Denver Post‘s Luca Evans. Thus ends the speculation that “Juice” could join Denver’s offense this spring.

A former tight end, Juszczyk is the best receiving fullback in the NFL, but he earned an average of $4.97 million per season while playing for the 49ers. When compared to the $1.03 million Nate Adkins is set to earn with the Broncos this season, it’s easy to understand Denver’s decision from a salary cap perspective.
Juszczyk is a nine-time Pro Bowler and a two-time All-Pro — Adkins obviously isn’t that level of player yet, but Adkins is eight years younger and, as noted, much cheaper. Playing in a hybrid tight end/fullback role, Adkins hauled in 14 receptions for 115 yards and three touchdowns in 2024. Juszczyk totaled 19 catches for 200 yards and two scores last fall.
While Juszczyk isn’t in play, the Broncos probably aren’t done making moves just yet. We are tracking all of Denver’s free agency additions (and losses) on Broncos Wire.
