Britney Spears is continuing to respond to her ex-husband Kevin Federline’s various claims about the singer and her well-being.
Federline, 47, is releasing his memoir You Thought You Knew on Oct. 21, and in recent days, excerpts shared ahead of the publishing date reveal various claims about Spears, 43, her past marriage to Federline and her relationship with their sons.
On Wednesday, Oct. 15, Spears called out Federline for “constantly gaslighting” her and defended her relationship with her sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, whom she and Federline welcomed during their three-year marriage from 2004-2007.
Now, the singer is elaborating on her thoughts about Federline’s memoir in a lengthy post on X, alleging that he is using the opportunity to “profit” from her pain.
“To be loved unconditionally and with a naive heart like mine, always being threatened or made to believe I’m the bad one as they profit off my pain…” her post began. “Oh dear Jesus show me there is a God and I can too be loved unconditionally and not have to be so perfect cause it’s really interesting.”
Spears also took aim at Federline’s press appearances, accusing him of “literally attacking” her “in his interviews.” “Why is HE SO ANGRY,” she questioned, adding, “and what’s scary is he’s convincing. It literally blows my mind the moments he stops before he cries are you f—ing serious …”
Comparing his memoir to her 2023 memoir, The Woman in Me, Spears wrote, “I know his book will sell loads more than mine.”
She went on about Federline’s “anger,” writing, “If you really love someone then you don’t help them by humiliating them. What scared me was how serious and angry he got, people have no idea, it is way worse than anyone could imagine… the boy hates me and it is deep anger to literally say the things he is saying.”

She then remarked on her estranged relationship with her mother, Lynne Spears, saying her mother tells her, ” ‘Oh you’re angry, we just love you so much and wish you were here,’ ” before claiming her mother had called her one time in six years and didn’t invite her to her son’s birthday at their Louisiana home.
“They get entitled with special secrets as they treat me exactly the way my father used to…” she said in reference to her father, Jamie Spears, being her conservator for 13 years. “They secretly love to cast me out and make me feel completely isolated.”
She explained that as a resolution, she bought a miniature greenhouse to help her heal. “I do need healing and I’m starting tomorrow on it…”
“There are so many things to do to heal…” she continued, before sharing she’d like to have coffee, lunch, or dinner with Michelle Pfeiffer and Paris Jackson. “It is important to look up to people and still believe in humanity, and there are extremely cool beautiful people here.”
As her post came to a conclusion, she said she will start acting, podcasting and writing monthly columns but nothing about her. “People are never supposed to talk about controversy shocking topics …” Spears wrote.
Spears then thanked her supporters, writing, “Thank you to the people supporting my heart right now I know you guys understand it hurts.”
