A fatal shooting in Georgia has sent shockwaves through social media and sparked heated debates online.

The tragic incident involved Telvin Osborne, a Black man, and his white girlfriend, Hannah Cobb, who is now accused of killing him.
What makes this case even more controversial are Osborne’s resurfaced tweets, which have revealed his disparaging remarks about Black women and his open preference for white women.
The shooting occurred in Wesboro, Georgia, approximately two and a half hours from Atlanta.
According to Burke County Sheriff Alfonso Williams, the incident was not accidental, despite Cobb initially claiming the gun went off while she was “checking” her firearm.
Osborne was found in the master bedroom with a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Cobb reportedly called authorities herself, applying pressure to Osborne’s wound until police arrived.
However, investigators have debunked her claim about cleaning the weapon, with Sheriff Williams stating there was no evidence to support that version of events.
As the investigation unfolded, Osborne’s past tweets began to surface, adding a dramatic twist to the already shocking case.
Using the Twitter handle “white girls are fun,” Osborne’s account, inactive since 2012, showcased posts that glorified white women while disparaging Black women.
The bio of the account read, “I love them white girls, they already know,” accompanied by hashtags like #TeamWhiteGirls and #SnowBunnies.
One tweet even stated, “White girls over Black girls,” while another Facebook post featured him with Cobb, captioned, “I’ll kill for her, I’ll die about her.”
In perhaps the most inflammatory statement, Osborne allegedly wrote, “I’d f*** a dog before I f*** a Black b****. It got to be a white dog though.”
These revelations have divided public opinion, with many Black social media users expressing indifference toward Osborne’s death due to his controversial views.

Some users even coined the phrase “Rest in preference,” mocking his preference for white women.
Others joked, “Well, he definitely died about her—I mean, by her.”
One user humorously added, “Skin folk, stay out of this one. We not riding at dawn.”
The case has also raised questions about justice, as Cobb was not immediately arrested following the shooting.
Osborne’s cousin took to social media, demanding accountability and expressing frustration over Cobb’s delayed arrest.
“My cousin’s girlfriend killed him Sunday morning and claimed she accidentally shot him while drunk at 5 a.m. Her dad is a cop, and she wasn’t charged immediately. Rest in heaven, Telvin. We will get justice one way or another,” the cousin wrote.
Despite advocating for justice, Osborne’s cousin admitted he did not support Telvin’s past tweets, stating, “I don’t agree with any of his views. In this instance, he’s just my cousin who was offed. All that berating Black women stuff is not something I agree with.”
Cobb was eventually arrested on Tuesday and charged with felony involuntary manslaughter.
The case has reignited discussions about race, relationships, and self-hatred within the Black community, with many questioning the dynamics that led to Osborne’s death.
While some have condemned Cobb’s actions, others have focused on Osborne’s controversial views, with many Black social media users choosing to distance themselves from the case entirely.
“Happy Black History Month—this is none of our business,” one user wrote, summing up the sentiment shared by many.
The incident continues to dominate headlines, sparking debates about race, privilege, and accountability.
As the investigation unfolds, the public remains divided, with some demanding justice for Osborne and others questioning the deeper issues surrounding his remarks and relationship choices.
