With his new album SWAG II, Justin Bieber isn’t afraid to share his love for Hailey Baldwin Bieber — and speak about how meaningful parenthood can be.
After announcing the LP on Thursday, Sept. 4, the pop star shared the follow-up to July’s SWAG in the early hours of Friday, Sept. 5.
The album, which features 23 songs and collaborations with Tems and Lil B, was supposed to drop at midnight but was delayed a few hours.
In the lead-up to the album’s release, Justin, 31, shared several clips and images on Instagram of billboards and projections in several locations around the world featuring a photo with his 1-year-old son Jack Blues, and himself and his wife, 28, with their little one.
On SWAG II, Justin appears to reference his relationship with Hailey on several songs, while even reflecting on fatherhood.

On the second track, “Better Man,” the “DAISIES” singer appears to reference how special the couple’s bond is.
Oh, when you take my hand, honey, I promise you no bitterness,” he begins, before later adding, “It’s like a spotlight on you and every little thing we do, feels like we’re dancing.”
Later, he appears to reference the thrill of being married: “Church bells and throwing rice things, uh-huh / I can tell you’re gonna like this, mm-hm.”
The aptly titled “Love Song” appears to pay tribute to the longevity of Justin and Hailey’s relationship.
“Time gets prettier with you, I’m lifted / Something starts to take a hold of me (Uh) / Spellbound, baby, it’s like magic when you kiss me / I wanna be everything you need me to be, oh,” he sings on the track.
On the chorus, Justin declares, “I wanna write you a love song, baby / I wanna write you a good one, you can’t stop singing to me.”
The romantic R&B ballad “I Do” is where Justin appears to sing about his wedding to Hailey in 2018.
“I mean it when I said that I do,” he sings on the chorus, adding, “You will always be the one that I choose.” He also discusses confronting their problems: “If something’s going down, yeah / Let’s communicate it now.”
On “Don’t Wanna” with English singer Bakar, Justin sings, “I don’t want to mess this up, I don’t want you to leave,” before seemingly alluding to his 2016 split with his wife before their reconciliation in 2018.
“All the Way” sees the “Yukon” artist appearing to reflect on the earlier stages of his relationship with the Rhode founder.
“We hold hands like we used to do (Like we used to) / Maybe we could dance in the living room? (Do you want to? Uh) / Let me spin you ’round, baby, let me lead (Let me lead) / Up against the wall like a masterpiece (Like a masterpiece).”
“Petting Zoo” seems to allude to some of the more difficult moments in Justin and Hailey’s relationship.
“So why we fighting? / It’s easy when you’re leading me on / Displeasing when you’re blocking me out / I’ll take the bait if that’s what you want (If that’s what you want),” he sings, before later adding, “Say you had enough, oh, I’m drunk / Then you blame it on the fact that I hit the blunt / Now we’re making up (Oh), roll another one (Ooh).”
Justin references “speeding towards the wall” and “running from it all” at 25 — appearing to reference when he and Hailey tied the knot on “Moving Fast.”
“Thinking you could make a better man of me / Bet it all, now,” he sings.
On “Lyin’,” Justin references his “abandonment issues” as he promises to stick by Hailey’s side.
“Wasn’t lyin’ when I said that I loved you, oh-oh,” he sings, before later adding, “Oh, I’ll never leave, baby.”
“When It’s Over” appears to reflect on the arguments he has with the model and businesswoman.
“I get in my head every time that we go blow for blow, babe / And the words that I throw ricochet and they cut straight through me,” Justin sings, dreaming of “when it’s over.”

The “Baby” hitmaker appears to sing about the permanence of his relationship to Hailey on “Dotted Line.”
“When I lie awake (When I lie) / I can’t tell the way I see you down / See the clock starts to break then I run, babe (Ooh) / Oh, I don’t just walk, I’m runnin’ back to you, back to you (I’m runnin’ back to you, ooh),” he sings.
In the outro of “Open Up Your Heart,” the “Sorry” musician sings about what a “mess” he is without his wife: “And I’ma break without you, babe, uh / I’m a mess, and you’re upset /I’m a wreck.”
On “Everything Hallelujah,” Justin expresses gratitude for his wife and son and finding “love” in moments where Jack is “crawling on the floor.”
Justin sings about his son on “Mother in You,” kicking off the track singing, “You opened your eyes, that was when I knew,” before later adding, “My smile, her grace, both of our hearts / Oh, child, everyday, you’re the best part.”
With “Safe Space,” the “Never Say Never” artist appears to reflect on being his son’s “safe space” and wanting to “take the pain away.”
Hailey and Justin initially met in 2009 when the two-time Grammy winner appeared on the Today show. After reconnecting at church in 2014, the pair later sparked romance rumors, which they repeatedly denied.
They ended up dating and had a “very dramatic” split in 2016. However, in June 2018 they reunited and embarked on a whirlwind month-long romance that culminated in a Bahamas engagement and subsequent courthouse marriage.
