Angel Reese has finally earned her wings.
The professional athlete and star player of the Chicago Sky made her runway debut on Wednesday evening at this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York City.
Known for its elaborate runway, themed segments and musical performances by A-list artists, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is an annual promotional event sponsored by Victoria’s Secret, a popular American lingerie brand. After being canceled in 2019, the show was rebranded and made its return in 2023, continuing to feature a diverse cast of models and a global audience through online streaming.
Reese walked the runway wearing a beautiful white lacey lingerie set covered in pink flowers. She tied the look together with a pink fur boa, also covered in flowers in various shades of pink and a pair of silver high heels.
Fans on X and all over social media could not get over her look and her runway debut.
“SHE ATEEE #ARWINGS,” a user posted to X, along with the video of her walking.
“she’s stunning,” one commented. “idc what anyone says.”
“Angel Reese got me watching a fashion show she really the greatest,” a fan posted.
One fan wrote, “THAT FACE CARD.”
“WORKKKKKK YESSSSSS oh my god,” one user quote-tweeted.
“Yeah, she owns the color pink now,” another posted.
Minutes later, the 23-year-old athlete came back to the runway and closed out the show with another look, wearing a simple lacey baby pink lingerie set under a pink short-sleeve open crop top and the same silver high heels worn in her previous look. And of course, a huge pair of intricate angel wings.
Though this is the first time Reese has walked the runway, the athlete actually attended the fashion show last year as a guest.
“I would always watch the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and always dreamed that I, one day, could possibly be a model,” the Sky forward told Vogue ahead of her debut. “I have a video of me, when I was younger, dancing in Victoria’s Secret sweatpants and a hoodie. It’s a full circle moment for me.”
Other celebrities and models that walked the runway this year include Olympic gymnast Suni Lee, Adriana Lima, Gigi and Bella Hadid, Alex Consani, Euphoria‘s Barbie Ferreira and Jasmine Tookes. Performers this year included Karol G, Madison Beer, TWICE and Missy Elliott.
