As Kate Middleton, Prince William and their family adjust to life in their new home, Forest Lodge, they still have plenty of royal duties on the calendar.

While the Prince of Wales, 43, is currently in Brazil celebrating his Earthshot Prize awards, Kensington Palace announced Princess Kate’s next planned solo outing.

On Tuesday, Nov. 11, the Princess of Wales, 43, will recognize Armistice Day by visiting the National Memorial Arboretum and attending their Service of Remembrance. Kate will join other visitors in observing a two-minute moment of silence at 11 a.m. and lay a wreath at the Armed Forces Memorial in memory of all those who have served, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Armistice Day is held on Nov. 11 every year, marking the day the armistice was signed between the Allies and Germany to end World War I. It is also known as Remembrance Day in the Commonwealth and Veterans Day in the United States.

Princess Kate’s visit to the National Memorial Arboretum will also feature a poetry reading by the Poet in Residence, Arji Manuelpillai, and performances by Talent in the Ranks and Black Voices.

The Princess of Wales will then meet with veterans in attendance, as well as secondary school students whose parents are currently deployed.

Finally, Kate will view a special exhibition currently on display at the Arboretum: “Letters from the Frontline – Words, War and Victory.” The exhibition, produced in partnership with BBC radio stations across the Midlands, features a collection of correspondence between military personnel and their families in 1945, just as World War II was coming to an end.

Princess Kate’s visit will follow a weekend of Remembrance Day events. King Charles, Queen Camilla and other senior royals will attend the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, Nov. 8, as well as the annual Cenotaph service on Sunday, Nov. 9.

The British royals are known to mark the occasion by sporting red poppy pins to commemorate military members who have died in wars. For Kate, last year’s event was extra significant, as it marked her first official royal event after she announced on Sept. 9, 2024, that she had completed chemotherapy treatment.

The weekend will mark Princess Kate’s return to royal duties following her family’s move to their new “forever home” at Forest Lodge. The Telegraph reported last week that Prince William, Princess Kate and their children  — Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7 — had officially moved during the kids’ school’s half-term break and were settling in.

The eight-bedroom home is intended to be their permanent residence moving forward, with the family continuing to live there even after William becomes king. The country life is a marked change for the family from their previous life in London, and Kate has previously stressed how important it is to her and her children to live around nature.

“In London, there was a lack of the kind of life that Kate has decided she wants and needs. She wants a country life,” Ingrid Seward, author of My Mother & I, told PEOPLE last month.

Earlier this year, U.K. Chief Scout Dwayne Fields explained to PEOPLE that Kate had specific plans for her new home, “She has re-created exactly what she had as a child,” he said. “Her father was a lover of the outdoors, and much of her passion for the outdoors comes from her time with him.”

“She recognizes the benefits of being outdoors and that we can all share those benefits because if we utilize the green spaces near us, near our homes, where possible, we can all benefit,” Fields added.
