After Dropping Nearly 200 Pounds, Jelly Roll Shows Off His Dance Moves and a New Nickname—”Veggie Roll!”.cc

After losing nearly 200 pounds, Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord,  might be in need of a new nickname. The genre-bending star recently revealed that some fans have started calling him “Veggie Roll.”

In a new TikTok, the “Need A Favor” singer looks more confident and comfortable than ever as he shows off his dance moves on stage. The video opens with the question, “Where’s Jelly?” before cutting to shots of him in all-black stagewear, a sparkling chain, and a Tennessee Titans hat. Moments later, the answer appears “on the dance floor” as he busts a move in front of cheering fans.

The comments section quickly filled with praise, with fans applauding Jelly Roll’s hard work, dedication, and newfound confidence.

“You can genuinely see how happy you are being able to do what you haven’t been able to do! I’m really proud of you, Jelly Roll,” one fan wrote, while another added, “His smile says it allll!”

Jelly Roll first embarked on his health journey in 2022. At one point, he reportedly weighed around 550 pounds. Since then, he’s dropped nearly 200 pounds and made major lifestyle changes.

“Next year when y’all see me, you won’t recognize me,” he told fans last year — and he’s certainly living up to that promise.

The singer has celebrated several milestones along the way, including completing a 5K, buying designer clothes, and even being able to ride a scooter again.

Jelly Roll has been candid about his transformation, telling his wife, Bunnie XO, on her Dumb Blonde podcast that he wanted to lose the weight “in front of everybody.” Following a strict high-protein diet and consistent workouts, he’s made progress naturally — without the help of weight loss drugs.

That was a deliberate choice. “Every doctor I’ve talked to is for it,” he said during a podcast appearance. “They said it helps. I just was afraid of it… As a singer, few things scare me more than acid reflux… that stuff will just rip the vocal cords.”

Part of Jelly Roll’s motivation has been the desire to experience things his weight once prevented him from doing.

“All I’ve ever known was being fat, and I’m f—ing miserable,” he previously shared on Instagram. “I wanna skydive, bungee jump, ride a bull, parasail, ride roller coasters — I want to

LIVE a normal life and have a normal relationship with food.”

Fans can keep up with Jelly Roll’s ongoing journey and inspiring updates by following him on social media.
