Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have won two straight after taking down the Baltimore Ravens in Week 5, moving to 2-2 on the 2025 NFL season. Throughout the season, Mahomes has faced constant pressure, but against Baltimore, the Chiefs’ offensive line held its own, allowing just one sack.
Since the 2023 season, Mahomes has had Jawaan Taylor at right tackle after the former Jacksonville Jaguars lineman signed a four-year, $80 million deal with the Chiefs. But Taylor has struggled with consistency. Over his first two seasons in Kansas City (2023-24), he committed 36 penalties, including a league-high 20 in 2023. This season has been no different, as he leads the NFL with six penalties, including two false starts and three holds.
Despite the frustrations Taylor has faced on the field this season, his personal life has recently undergone a significant change.
Taylor has been in a relationship with his girlfriend Tiffany since July 2024. And on Monday, over a year later, he announced their engagement, sharing several photos from his proposal.
“Every prayer answered in one yes. ,” Taylor wrote on Instagram. “Thank you Jesus! #Engaged .”
The NFL world showed its support for Taylor and Tiffany by sending congratulatory responses in the comment section.
“Congrats!!” wrote fellow Chiefs offensive lineman Creed Humphrey.
“Congrats bro !” added defensive end Charles Omenihu.
“Congrats family,” commented wide receiver Xavier Worthy.
“Congratulations!!!” added George Karlaftis
“Congratulations brudda love is beautiful . Good to see you happy and thriving ✊,” posted a fifth.
“Congrats big dawg!!!” chimed in Arizona Cardinals star Calais Campbell.
Taylor and Tiffany also celebrated their first anniversary on July 13, when the tackle had a sweet message for his future fiancée.
” One year. One beautiful, unforgettable trip around the sun with you. You’ve filled my heart with so much love, laughter, and peace. I’m blessed to call you mine. I love you sweetheart.. Happy Anniversary!”
Taylor and the Chiefs return to action Monday with a Week 5 battle against his former team, the Jaguars.
