On May 8th, country music will travel to The Star in Frisco, Texas, for the 2025 ACM Awards hosted by none other than country star Reba McEntire. With the show scheduled to run for nearly three hours, the night will feature several hit performances from Blake Shelton, Kelsea Ballerini, Chris Stapleton, and more. Marking a massive night for country music and the artists who expanded the genre over the last year, the ACM Awards produced more than a few memorable performances over the years – just like the time Carrie Underwood and Steven Tyler took the stage for a mashup of “Walk This Way” and “Undo It.”

Getting her start on American Idol, fans of Underwood watched as she returned to the show as a judge alongside Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. Gaining praise for her feedback and ability to get the most out of the contestants, Underwood brought years of experience. Knowing what it was like to perform on the biggest stages with legendary singers, Underwood once dazzled when singing with Tyler.

Taking place back in 2011, the mashup between “Undo It” and “Walk This Way” continued to be a historic moment at the ACM Awards. Just looking at the comments, they included, “How come I’m just finding this performance NOW???  Like omg..both of them killing it!  Carrie is holding her own with the rock legend, Steve Tyler. They’re owning that stage..how fun!” One fan added, “You know you’re watching one of the hottest performances of all time when all the stars in the audience are acting like paying fans.”

Sadly, with the ACM Awards releasing the full list of presenters, performers, and special guests, it seemed that Underwood would not be singing during the ceremony. With Underwood focused on her time on American Idol, fans can still watch her as she continued to search for the next hit singer.

As for the ACM Awards, the event will kick off on Thursday, May 8th, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on Prime Video and Twitch. Be sure to be there from the start as the opening segment will include Clint Black, Sugarland, Reba, Wynonna Judd, LeAnn Rimes, and Dan + Shay.
