Prince William’s Bedtime Message to His Children Revealed, and It’s Melting Hearts Across the Globe.x

The Prince of Wales pushed for more ‘positivity’ in the world

Prince William has shared a message of hope at the Earthshot Prize Awards, speaking to an audience about what he tells his children before they go to bed.

The Prince of Wales spoke to CNN’s chief international anchor Christiane Amanpour about the impact of the Earthshot Prize Awards and the work people at the event are doing.

When asked about the influence he can bring and what message he would like to send to his family, the Prince of Wales said: “You have to provide a leadership and a vision that there’s, there’s good things to come, and that’s, it’s not all negative.

“And for my children, particularly, knowing that the planet is going to be in a healthy, better state because of the brilliant people in this room is something that I love to tell them.

“Your future is going to be as bright. And that’s a really important message for all of us to hear.”

The Prince of Wales pushed for “positivity”, saying a world without it is “a pretty depressing place”.

William continued: “I think it’s really important that we produce solutions. We don’t just talk about things the whole time. We’re actually producing solutions. And these [Earthshot Prize Awards] finalists, these winners, are producing solutions that we all need to see and hear.”

The Prince of Wales explained that “climate anxiety is a real thing” and impacts a lot of the younger generation.

He said: “I hear about it wherever I go now, lots of the younger generation are saying, what kind of planet are we going to inherit?

“And I think that message needs to get wider and louder, and the younger generations need to be heard more.

“I had a fantastic session with the youth from all parts of the world dealing with the environment, and their message was very strong, which is that their voices need to be heard more.”

William called on every corner of the world to help with the climate crisis for the younger generation.

“We don’t want to be a box tick,” the Prince of Wales said. “We want to be actually heard and listened to, and again, that inspires me to help them be seen and heard more because there’s a lot of noise out there.

“We have to find ways for these brilliant people who are going to ultimately save us and the planet, to restore and protect ourselves. We have to find a way to allow them to be heard.”

The Prince of Wales was met with a huge applause to those in attendance as he concluded his dialogue with Ms Amanpour.

The Prince of Wales visited the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue earlier today in a particularly poignant moment.

William appeared to recreate a photo from his late mother, Princess Diana, who posed by the world-famous landmark in April 1991.

A Kensington Palace spokesman told GB News: “The prince has loved meeting so many people from across Rio over the last few days.

“He’s been incredibly struck by the number of people who fondly remember his mother’s visit to this beautiful city.”
