Prince William showing his caring side at a royal engagement won praise online as one fan said: “Men who obviously have an affinity with babies are attractive.”
The Prince of Wales met a mom and her young baby who, like William’s eldest son, was called George, at the Royal Cornwall Show in June.
A clip of the moment has gone viral on TikTok after the child’s proud mother shared it, saying she had forgotten to post it earlier.
Why It Matters
The clip was liked 285,000 times and viewed 3 million times after it was posted on TikTok by the baby’s mother with the message: “When George met Prince William at Royal Cornwall show 🤎 I can’t believe I forgot to share this on here at the time.
“He was absolutely lovely with George & took so much time to chat with us. We were so lucky 🫶🏼 6/06/25.”
What To Know
Prince William was meeting the public when he approached the baby’s mother and said, “Who’s this?”
Told the child’s name was “George,” he replied: “George…wow George, and I love your top. Look at this, look at the tractor. I love that. So sweet.”
William then asked how old the baby was and tickled George’s tummy as he said: “Seven months? Are you, George?”

What People Are Saying
One comment liked 12,800 times read, “he looks like he’s itching to cuddle him,” while another fan wrote: “He seems so genuine when he’s chatting to people ❤️”
Another reply liked 14,000 times read: “He’s going to be an amazing king and ambassador for the United Kingdom.”
And one said, “he’s balding, yet…Am I the only one to still find him handsome???” while a reply to that comment read: “Men who obviously have an affinity with babies are attractive.”
What Happens Next
Princess Kate has said before that meeting babies makes her want one, while Prince William has made it clear he is not up for having a fourth child.
In February 2022, Kate told dignitaries during a visit to Denmark: “It makes me very broody. William always worries about me meeting under one-year-olds. I come home saying, ‘Let’s have another one.'”
And in January that year, William and Kate had together visited Clitheroe Community Hospital, in Lancashire, where Kate held a baby, prompting William to say: “Don’t give my wife any more ideas!”
So royal watchers should not expect a royal baby announcement from the Wales household anytime soon—however, good William might be with babies.
