Bunnie Xo is open to any available option to grow her family.
Amid her ongoing attempts to have a child with husband Jelly Roll, the 45-year-old reflected on the struggles she has faced throughout her in vitro fertilization (IVF) journey and why she’s considering adoption.
“It is tough, but at the same time it’s like, you just put it in God’s hands,” Bunnie said on the Nov. 2 episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast. “If it’s meant to be it’s meant to be. And if not, we can always adopt.”

Indeed, the podcast host (real name Alyssa DeFord) emphasized her and Jelly Roll’s willingness to adopt, adding, “I’m totally open to adoption too and so is my husband.”
While Bunnie—who is stepmom to Jelly Roll’s kids Bailee Ann, 16, and Noah Buddy, 8, from his previous relationships—believes adoption is “amazing” and “a blessing,” she has been vocal about her hopes to grow her family through IVF, as well as the challenges associated with the medical process.
“[I’m] going through all of the emotions, the rollercoaster, the worry, just so that I can have a little piece of my husband and me,” she explained on her podcast in March. “Just a little piece wrapped in skin to add to the other two beautiful children that we have together.”

But Bunnie’s journey has certainly been filled with ups and downs. As she noted on her podcast in August, per People, part of the reason why she has made fewer public appearances with the “Son of a Sinner” singer this year is because, “I literally have been on IVF meds for f–king six months and going through heartbreak and f–king so much s–t.”
Despite the pain of her experience, though, Bunnie decided to share her story publicly because that’s who she and Jelly Roll are.
“We had planned on doing this privately,” she wrote on Instagram in June 2024, “but decided our IVF journey needed to be shared because we’ve always been so open.”
