After Jelly Roll ‘s dream trip to Australia, a recent shopping experience in Sydney left the country music star with a rather bitter taste.
The Nashville native made a whirlwind trip. Headlining the opening
Strummingbird Festival as well as headlining his own tour with Shaboozey and Drew Baldridge , along with appearances at Harvest Rock and Sunburnt Country, Jelly Roll has won over Australian fans with his outgoing personality and heartfelt songwriting.
But things took a turn for the superstar on Wednesday afternoon after he visited a Louis Vuitton store in Sydney’s CBD. Jelly Roll shared his experience on Instagram.

“Man, the Louis Vuitton store in Sydney, they literally treated us like we were about to rob the store. I’ve never been looked at like a criminal more than this. Listen, the last time I was looked at like a criminal this bad… I was this bad a criminal.”
Despite the rather unpleasant – and frankly, rude – reaction from the staff in the Jelly Roll store, he still had a sense of humor and seemed to laugh off the situation while his crew maintained the matter-of-fact attitude we all know and love.

After a nationwide tour spanning over two weeks, Jelly Roll now has two more stops left on their Down Under Tour , Townsville on Thursday night and Auckland on Saturday night, before returning to the United States.

Despite the setback, Jelly Roll’s first Australian tour was a huge success, with sold-out stadium shows, unexpected collaborations and genuine connections with fans and fellow artists. From naming a baby quokka Loretta to sharing the stage twice with Kaylee Bell , he embraced every aspect of the Australian experience – even if his Louis Vuitton shopping spree didn’t quite hit the mark.
