Townsville is under a global spotlight, with confirmation from Face To Face Touring that Jelly Roll’s upcoming performance at Queensland Country Bank Stadium will be the international superstar’s biggest ever headline stadium performance in Australia.
Already announced and presented by Sunburnt Country, this Australian-first milestone has already surpassed ticket expectations and is shaping up to be one of Townsville’s biggest concerts yet, further cementing the city’s reputation as the Events Capital of the North – and as a destination capable of hosting the biggest names in global entertainment.

The performance, this Thursday, adds to a powerhouse run of major events for the city following P!nk, The Killers, Tones and I, Supercars NTI Townsville 500, One Street One Day, Nitro Circus and PBR Australia Monster Energy Tour Grand Finals.
Townsville Enterprise Director Major Events Acquisition Chelsea Cavanah said the confirmation reinforces Townsville firmly on the global stage for live entertainment.
“It’s exciting to see artists like Jelly Roll choose Townsville for such major career milestones. We’re building a reputation for backing talent right as they’re breaking through, showing that international artists and promoters have full confidence in our city’s venues, infrastructure and audiences.”
“This event will attract an audience the size of the population of Charters Towers to our city, deliver a significant boost to our visitor economy of more than an estimated $3 million, and further strengthen Townsville’s standing as a leading destination for major events.”
Townsville Acting Mayor Ann-Maree Greaney said the city had an ambitious major-events attraction strategy in place, and securing artists of an international calibre like Jelly Roll showed the plan was working.
“The fact Townville will be Jelly Roll’s largest ever headline stadium show is very exciting, both for the artist as it is a significant milestone, but also for the city as it takes the growing success of our major events strategy to the world stage.”
“This is exactly what we envisioned when we partnered with Townsville Enterprise and the Major Events Advisory Panel – Townsville forging its reputation as a city that attracts the kind of events you’d expect to find in capital cities across Australia and the world.”
“Townsville is the events and arts capital of the North, and as a Council we are committed to growing our major events calendar year on year for the benefit and enjoyment of not only those who call our city home, but also for the entire region.”

Face To Face Touring Co-CEO John Zaccaria, who is bringing Jelly Roll to Townsville, said the decision was easy.
“When we were identifying Jelly Roll’s destination line up for Australia, choosing Townsville was a no-brainer – we knew it would be something special. The city not only offers a world-class venue to host an international artist but delivers exceptional fan experiences through everything Townsville has to offer visitors.”
